Why do you even take the time to say that it's going down in 30min if it is not

Why do you even take the time to say that it’s going down in 30min if it is not.
I’d prefer that you said nothing instead of saying things that you’re not going to do after all.

I was going to transfer my character to another server but we were with friends in a party for another 5 min because we will have a 24hr maintenance so why not. Now we can’t disband our party because you don’t respect your OWN announcements so why do you even BOTHER doing a thread that says “Klaipeda and Orsha - May 3 01:00 to May 4 01:00 (EDT) [24 hours]”

I don’t know IMC anymore. Try to do your thing better

I’m stuck in party and tonight is the server tranfer :C </3

lol either way.u should have disband and start doing some other stuff.
not really a excuse for anything  wat they give might be a estimated time .
as players,u are warned and cautioned way before time.
just pray that u can ask the dev to assist u on this

@chaklian20 They even did an announcement ingame. It said 30 min from 12:30am. The message ingame or the announcement in the forums didn’t contain any word close to estimated. It is as I quoted on my first post, it’s an schedule and it doesn’t say anything about approximate, roughly, or any english word that could mean not an exact time (maybe that’s the problem, I speak another language).

It was 12:40am, so as far as I know 10 min =/= 30min, so my point is, why do you make it that way. Why do you tell things that are not going to happen. If they said, disconnect ASAP. Well that’s a different thing you know

The whole way they run things is ass backward. I can’t even begin to imagine how terrible things are going to be when F2P starts.

While other games have a server transfers as a premium function that works immediately, IMC requires a 24 hour maintenance.

While other games turn off their servers for maintenance at the exact minute promised as if it was an automated event, IMC…well I’m not even sure but commanderloadfail showed up around 12:42 and with my knowledge of how time works, that’s not 1AM

Can’t tell if IMC is short-staffed or incompetent. Maybe both.

plot twist u couldn’t transfer even if not in a party, the delay transfer ended monday, not today

“i should just push it 5 more minutes.”
“i should just push it 5 more minutes.”
“i should just push it 5 more minutes.”
“i should just push it 5 more minutes.”
“i should just push it 5 more minutes.”
“i should just push it 5 more minutes.”
“…oh crap, the server disconnected me.”

you chose what was more important to you: that little sliver of exp.
log off to make sure you meet the requirements for the transfer? nooo, had to keep playing those few extra minutes. couldn’t have just gone to sit in the corner of town or something, and kept talking… had to keep playing.

While I tend to try an cut IMC a bit of slack, I do quite agree with your post. There is NO reason that a small patch and transfer should take 24 hours. None.

and you’re some kind of expert in how long these things take? what are your qualifications? how many mmo’s have you run? how many server transfers have you handled? how much time have you spend involved in the ToS character database?

i mean i -feel- that it should probably take less time than that… but how would i know? i have no clue what the setup is.

Forgive me, I myself have no idea how long it should take to a company like IMC. What I do know is, EVERY SINGLE MMO I’ve played (im 35 and have been playing em for quite sometime) has come nothing close to having 24 hours DT for transfers. Although I understand they want to do it right. I do however think it’s a tad overdone.

any how many of these mmo’s you’ve played have ever had massive cross-server migrations?
