Every time you move an item into or out of the “Warehouse”, it costs 20 silver. I barely noticed the fine print which told me this. Why does it cost 20 silver? Why isn’t it free? I don’t see the point behind the 20 silver fee at all. I would rather there be no fee for Warehouse storage.
They’ll likely find a way to turn this into a ‘premium’ service that costs real world currency. So enjoy it while it only costs silver.
I hope they better don’t… -.-
They may leave it at silver. Usually, in MMOs, it is prety hard to keep currency valuable due to inflation. A way in which developers regulate a little bit the amount of currency circulating is setting little gimmicks in which it burns. One way is controlling certain markets like potions and such, and the other is setting up taxes for certains transactions (like warehousing).
They have a lot of Silver sink in the game, this is just another one, altho rather cheap.
I don’t see why not, Kapra storage use to cost 20 zeny if I’m not mistaken lol
Off-topic - Omg, Satoru. <3 Shinsekai Yori.
But not for each item, you had to pay 40~ zeny until you closed the storage
Well considering what I’ve seen so far only gems and such are pretty much mandatory warehouse keeping. Items and such so far are pretty light and I’m like at what 15% weight with tons of armor and stuff.
Plus if you watched kCBT 20 silver really becomes nothing.
IKR, that’s why I am a Psychokino!!
I can’t remember a MMO that didn’t do this.
I can’t remember any MMO that DOES do this. Honestly, name one that charges every time you add/remove an item from your bank.
mabinogi
its a fine measure to slow down the depreciation of game currency
You’re right, I had a derp moment there. However, there is some validity to it - stuff stored in your bank should cost money for two reasons.
-
You’re taking things out of the economy. Hoarding stuff is generally bad for the economy, so you pay for the right to do so. Also, it keeps items safe that you drop on death, like gems.
-
It’s extra data that needs to be stored on the server. I imagine on release they will make the bank smaller and make it cost iCoins to expand it.
I’m of the opinion its just a sink for silver like a lot of other people have suggested.
It’ll be annoying to start off with but eventually you’ll have more silver than things to do with it (presumably).
oh now ppl cry about 20 silver rly
20 silver for every transaction adds up to alot over time. Every time you take an item out of storage or put one in, it costs 20 silver. I’d rather have our warehouses be free and have the cost of statue teleporting go up as an offset.
The real question is, would any business owner let you shove stuff of dubious origin into their storage for free?
Think of that poor NPC who has a family to feed!
It’s not like you came waltzing in with a storage chest strapped to your back. (Just a bag of holding, the clothes on your back, and the equipment to start out)
Well, at least we dont need to pay impost taxes while trading with someone, like in maplestory
And full equipment repair is easily 2000 or so silver.
1 Priest reagant is between 20 and 50 silver, PER CAST.
Pardoner’s skill cost 500 silver to cast.
Yes paying storage fee 1000 times would cost you 20,000 silver, but how much silver would you be gaining in that period of time?
There’s also market, if you REALLY that stingy about it just shove the thing you want to ‘store’ on market at stupidly insane price and cancel it later.
And these ‘cost over time’ argument seem to ignore that you also have ‘gain over time’.
