Because there is no good alternative and you hope ppl will come back with the next caps and hopefully stay aswell as the Performance will keep improving?
RO sucks (at least i dont rly like it starting with 3rd class and renewal ā still played it but not as fun as before ā and the iRO classic Server is dead⦠390-400 Players only bots, merchantstalls and some 20-30 Players all arround the maps + this weird customcontents) and other than that⦠there is no good mmo in this Kind of way - at least i dont know any that reminds of RO
Im a very picky and lazy player. I dont want to test out dozens of games to find out after 10-20 hours per game that this is nothing for me really.
Staying at 2-3 games with the core focus on 1 is enough for me and feels way more fulfulling as to play the modern mmo-nomad.
I was thinking about to change back to Gw2 to wait until Revelation Online comes out. At first I also was interested in Blessed Online but on a closer look I dont want to play it anymore. Black Desert Online took me 1 day to know I dont want this.
ToS gives me something in gameplay which I cannot find somewhere else but even as a though hardcore player with 2200+ hours my patience has worn thin.
I dont want to wait that long for new things anymore and instead of making pleasing updates they actually try to shove the knife deeper in my back. Cutting another channel to create a bigger chaos on extra rare high demanded endgear shows me once more that this game is leaded by monkeys that rather spends time drinking their own pee as to create something that makes sense.
welp, @superdupermlgbsns
according to costume-whore lover, your opinion doesnt matter.
you dont matter at all unless you like costume, like them.
thats the cold treatment i receive from being radical in voicing and advocating significant changes for core issue myself
45k passionate players quit, now you have to struggle with remaining 5k costume-whore lover just to get your idea heard
this is certainly healthy trend for TOS
hrmā¦
Well maybe you could take a look at classic RO private servers. A handful of them have more players than ITOS + IRO combined.
Yepā¦private servers have way more players then the official onesā¦
(And I agree renewal RO sucks, horrible power creep with 3rd class just like TOS is starting with Rank 8)
I havnt seen any that have more than 1k players (and that was only Talon ā others had 400-500 if they feature rebirth)
and it usually is always: 80-90% of Population = marketcharrs with @autotrade
I only know about Talon with bigger playerbase but they have no good reputation are corrupt in a lot of ways, steal content and claim its their own and so on
The time of big playerbases are gone ā which does not mean there are None outside of ratemyserverā¦
Counting all Servers iRO has 3-4k players ā a lot of bots and merchants ofc
fRO maybe 900-1k
Numbers of bots unknown ^^
I was going to say⦠private servers for RO are often times corrupt. I knew someone who did quite a bit of work for them scripting. If you want a legitimate (or, as close as you can get to) game, I wouldnāt bother with those. If you donāt care some favorites of the owners/workers have more, might not be a bad idea. However, Iāve also heard some shady stuff about payment information being leaked on one server⦠So use Paypal.
Honestly the official Ragnarok isnāt so bad. I quit there about a year and a half ago, but the community is quite social, and Iād say half the playerbase friendly. The game is P2W though thanks to upgrades/reselling a large amount of shop items for gold, and you might have a hard time getting established versus people who have played for years. Which is a lot of their serious playerbase.
which is what TOS is lacking now, Serious Player Base.
but casuals drive them off
so its revenge in TOS?
more casuals over hardcore?
We have more than they do, for now. I have seen your feelings about the forums though, so⦠lol. We have different ideas but thatās alright.
Still, Ragnarok was and probably always will be one of my top five games ever.
yey~
hugs~

what could be happier than a person used to hate me, end up, accepting meā¦
#this, is, more, than, 7%, overall, improvement!
Sees the edit. I hated you for what? xD I havenāt hated anyone on here. I severely disliked one person, but certainly not you.
In the words of Rodney King, canāt we all just get alongā¦? Hides from tomatoes.
Edit: Thinks Okay maybe 1 or 2 other people. Scratches headā¦
so sweet that maple syrup is nothing compared to you~
xoxo~
but IMC still sucks, so no hug for you @STAFF_John
Yeah⦠i have been playing on numerous privateservers
But have also been playing on the Japanese offical Servers starting beta⦠I do have all i Need without Investments by now but i do want to play with friends that would never play on jp Servers / hate renewal even more than i do - also more and more of my jp guildmates quit or are seldomly on - most got WoE or big raidevents online only guys and gals.
Itās not the game Overall that i miss, itās the community that more and more gets split or replaced on every server most likelyā¦
I miss times where you met before a dungeon and were eager to form a Party to Level there - today its more of a laziers botting way through while the others solo⦠maybe grind starting abbey or real lategame stuffā¦
I miss the old times q.q
Cashshop started to ruin the game to some extend
It was and is my favorite game and i would welcome any game with a similar playerbase⦠they could give a 1:1 copy of RO with a WoW ruined community⦠and most would complain or downvote it⦠Thats what happened to ToS aswell - and it sure is no RO clone but its Close in some ways at least ā thats why i want to continue playing it⦠even if its only the casual way
i know rightā¦
even minesweeper seems interesting if you play and mix with the correct group of people
thats why i hate the after-wow MMO
thats why i hate the 1990-borned mentality/atitude when it comes to gaming
i am absolutely generalizing things, but i wish to just ⦠reenact that moment when a white knight (literally) save me from 20+ munaks when im a acolyte lv30 in payon dungeonā¦
those memories, those engagement, those timesā¦
i must be growing old that ice cream doesnt taste as good as they do 20years agoā¦
I miss doing WoE and having a Brazilian guy singing over Raidcall stories of our great adventures, or just about a guildie having a parrot⦠The community is great, lol. You can find a diverse group of people just by sitting at South Pront goofing off.
Iāve always said this game lacks two things: A generalized hang out. Dead branches pulled people there and people just followed even if they didnāt use them. South P was located right outside the city where player shops were, so it was convenient and you had some where to just chill from levels 1-275(?). Thatās followed by the second thing, actual socialization with people outside of your guild. This place spawned role play, relationships of all kinds, drama (which is fun to an extent), and all in all it made these things feel like a part of the game.
How could it be put into ToS? No clue, the maps arenāt laid out for it, and were split by 3 cities without a main one. Currently Fedi is probably the closest thing but that discludes players 1-100.
I also hope we get something more WoE like⦠then I might consider rolling a pure PvP character. WoE was just chaotic good fun.
Well believe it or not I enjoy the quests and doing the dungeon/mercenary runs and I do events as well like Dulla and what not. Iām not on the game 24/7 like I used to when it first came out but I still have fun playing it, I really do love how my character plays and Iāve actually gotten a few compliments by higher lvlād players that Iām fairly tough, even my build isnāt really pvp focused I have some decent moments and can carry my team.
The fps drops to 1 with people around =(
For WoE like stuff, Iām talking after the FPS fix. I donāt have too much of a problem currently sitting in Fedi with 30+ ppl around, though most are shop owners or just hovering by the market. I think a social area could be doable currently, but then if there was something like dead branches or a gimmick that shot out any kind of graphics⦠Yep, may be a problem.
Iām hoping IMC optimizes > advertises > then continues with more game and social content.
I miss the days of my priest hugging the emp trying to keep it alive.
@OP
Quite frankly I actually donāt think about quitting or anything as drastic as that. I enjoy the game for what it offers and Iām pretty sure a lot of people here do to. Most of us that actually still have fun are part of the more non-vocal crowd that you wonāt normally see here in the forums but youāre likely to encounter in-game.
What I can agree on though is that the game (and its creators & publishers) can definitely chip away ones patience. The lack of communication is whatās really missing here. The fan-base is here (whether we want to admit it or not) and ToS definitely had a strong following (pretty normalized as of now). As with anything that has an audience, communication is always key; alas, this is not our current scenario.
To IMC, for what itās worth, talk to us, keep us in the loop (as best you can). Leaving your player-base hanging and in the dark is not a great way to keep them.
