I don’t play swordsman. Whenever I try to repair all my armors with a squire on the field the cost displayed is 9k+ whereas the one in town only charges me around 1500 silver.
Why is that?
because they have a 50% tax on every income they make and they need to buy materials to actually repair objects… that makes it so that squires in order to make a very little profit actually need to charge 4-5 times more then NPCs for their services.
It’s actually quite a problem in game and a lot of people are complaining… if you add the fact that you can’t trade silver to your other characters to this crafting classes are almost useless.
Also remember squires make up for this by being able to heal more durability than what is listed on the item. Like an over repair. As your move on too and get higher in levels i think basic resources like a npc repairer will become more remote.
See it as a luxury you pay not having to go back to town? I don’t know, I dont really use them
