Why are people so sensitive regarding their builds

People are like “Any build is the best build if you like it!” is this truly the case?

There is always a better build. Grass is always greener on the other side.
Skills & class makes a difference, stats makes a difference, gear also makes a difference, there is really no way of saying which class is good at everything.
There are always some build out there to follow if someone is lazy to theory craft their own. So if you decided on a build, just go ahead with it and make the best out of it. And yes, any build is the best build if you like it. Even if it is the best build, and you do not like it, what is the point of playing?

Most people are not sensitive with their build, either they are not established in the game yet, or is unsatisfied with their current playing build, or simply not confident with their build to share.

For any beginners out there that are confused and misguided by all the theory crafted builds available on the net, use their solely for reference and make your own build that you think its fun and make the best out of it with good skill & stats allocation and choice of gear. Be a unique build only you yourself enjoy. Ultimately, you are playing.

Yes, but most people won’t like their build if it’s not actually strong/fun/optimized.

Also, using a wrong build may attract hate as you are wasting others time in dungeon/mission. For example, all the dps barbarian who can’t tank and is dealing absolutely no damage in my mission.

The only reason why this is not true is because of scumbags who want ideal teams in dungeons/ grinding parties.

No. Mainly because I have a build that I like to use but it isn’t exactly the most fun to play at the moment. Fun = actually easy to play and also does good at the same time.

The definition of fun varies from person to person
What I sincerely consider as “fun” is not by being the best DPS there is but by being useful to my PT in many cases like CC, buffs, utility, and fairly acceptable amount of DPS.

Had a mission yesterday.

4 guys with horrible builds.
The boss died and i got nuked 10 seconds before it.
They didn’t even wait.

So my choice of action was.
If you cant wait 10 seconds, lets see how good your builds are (no healer 1 tank, 3 dps from them).

After 5 minutes or so and the boss still being at 80% hp.
I killed it …

People can mess up theyre builds really nicely.
Best was the full int sorc with 5k hp at level 207.Without linker.

Or the wiz3-runecaster-linker2. For costume only.

i’m about to be sorc without linker o.o

YOu can be.

But how will you do damage?
They summon aa isn’t gonna work later on as well.

3k damage is just a drop on the stone, when mobs have 40k~120k hp.

i’m cryo3>? right now. my idea was to go sorc 3 and use the sumon and bats for dmg, with freezing, snow rolling, frost pillar and riding skill

If he is wasting much time of 4 people I would say he is the scumbag.

Uhuh …

sips some cold tea

cryo3 is good.
But i want to see some videos of you on higher levels if you hit that sorc3.
Still unsure how good that dps is.

Could be great …

THIS.

One thing though - theory crafting is great but with the game’s state at the moment and the limited info about it one can find online, your build could screw up eventually either due to misinformation or game changes.

That said, there’s is no perfect build except the one you truly enjoy playing the most.

I’ve seen stupid builds running around with people actually trying to use them.
I’ve seen so called ‘best builds’ with idiots running them, doing nothing but leeching.
I’d prefer the first rather than the second.

Oh also, best build doesn’t help if they run off in the middle of a dungeon.

A lot of people said Priest3 sucks, and I’ve endlessly carried parties as a solo healer in dungeons. Meanwhile 60% of clerics I dungeon with can’t do crap. Doesn’t matter how good the build is if the person behind the keyboard is stupid.
