Why are Bots being allowed?

First off I have to say that I was extraordinarily excited for the game. It looks fantastic, the nostalgia junkie in me loves it, gameplay is fun and fast paced, the economy and even the pay to increase functionality of the markets is, to me, a great idea.

What I don’t understand is why the ■■■■ IMC is asking US to police the community and report on players who are driving away their valid user base by using so many BOTS.

GET OFF YOUR LAZY ■■■■■■■ BUTTS and make your game PLAYABLE for us or we’re just going to go play a different free MMO that WILL. I’m sick and tired of porting to town just to get spammed to death.

I WAS a paying customer but if you dont solve this bot problem by the end of the month i’m going back to blizzard. At least they PRETEND to give two shits.

Posting this thread won’t do ■■■■. As far as we know. IMC is pretending that they are a company that is full of retard and disabled devs and staffs.

I suggest you holding the game for awhile and look for a better mmo.

Currently downloading GW2 and waiting for riders of Icarus

@STAFF_Max you can join me playing this game while ur devs shake their legs waiting for the new loading screen to be done :slight_smile:

The bot problem has gotten so bad that when I actually ran into an actual human player while questing earlier today i was absolutely FLOORED.

Its really shitty to like a game so much only to have it ruined by what should be an easily solvable problem.

I don’t think asking us for assistance in reporting bots is the problem.Them not effectively handling those reports and/or not knowing what to do with them is.

Just block the spamers in town and ignore the bots on the fields. They will never disappear completely even if you threaten IMC.

I’m sure they aren’t lazy. They have a few GMs that ban bots but there are simply too many bots to ever get rid of them with their limited resources. Needless to mention that after one bot was banned it will simply be replaced by a new one within an hour.

If they earned $50M every month like Blizzard, I’m sure you wouldn’t see any bots in ToS either. But their income is probably not even 1% of that.

@rya.reisender I’m going to wager that it’s been a while since you’ve been in a town. You can’t block the spammers because they don’t have names. They whisper spam you, and gl ignoring the bots in the field when you can’t complete a freaking quest because they’ve killed all the mobs in the maps that now have less channels most players used to use to avoid them.

My dear i gave up on that a long time, not even waste my time releasing red orbs anymore and every time i am trying to Lv one of my chars and the bots (and i mean BOTS, which means 5+ of them) i simple quit the game.

I am not here to get frustrated, i come here to have a relaxing time and have fun with friends.

I am not saying they have o get rid of bots, that is impossible, as long as parasites like their owners exist, there will be bots.

But at least try to have some control.

I doubt their bot classifier is even working… even their forum flagging can be exploited to flag innocent post…tell me about it XD…

The things really need to be taken seriously… regardless of whether its forums or ign… one Gm running around banning is kinda… meh… thumbs up though for gm_durian for manually banning the bots himself XD

The salt is unreal in this thread. i haven’t played an MMO where there hasn’t been a bot issue.

I know what you mean, well can’t do much on forum tho lol.

On a suggestion thread, i think you where there too lol, i tried to enhance the OP idea, but to apply that it would be a real challenge to the devs lol.

Yeah sure, there are lots of bots on other games, but not that much to cause issues on game play, what i mean is, since the maps in this game are somewhat linear or limited, they can cover the whole thing, some quests require us to lower the monster HP and use an item, now i ask you, will the bot stop attack just because you are doing your quest?

As i said, it is not a matter of getting rid of them, but at least some control is in need.

Well, can’t argue with some people tho.

Right click on the spam message in the chat and there is an option “Block”.

@brownpaperbagger The generic in your comment is unreal. Yes, bots are in every MMO pretty much, but these ones have pretty much been allowed to run amok completely unchecked.

Honestly dont give a ■■■■ about this game or its problems i just grind my items and silver and get what i want. The bots havent affected me at all and i have 4 characters 260+.

Well okay, great, but don’t disparage people for being annoyed about certain things just because you, personally, aren’t being affected by them.

And good luck grinding so much on a game you don’t give two shits about. When the bots ruin everything and the game goes to ■■■■, enjoy the feeling of satisfaction you’ve gained from having wasted all that time spent leveling your characters.

It doesn’t matter how many bots IMC ban, a new wave comes within seconds…that’s how RMT works.

Botting is not allowed but the game is not properly equipped to deal with such rule breakers.

If it’s unplayable you’d also want to blame the players for buying their services…the more people buy RMT silver, the more bots they’ll deploy to the server.
There aren’t many bots in Silute, atleast not as much as there is in Klaipeda and SEA.
