Whole Grim Reaper system just made everything worse than before

It just ruined Dina Bee and Demon Prison now. Plus, not stopping the afks at all. Came up to Dina Bee with my hopes up for a good grind and found out Reaper is killing everyone that steps on ch2 and there it is, 7 Necros on each other channel (1 3 and 4), occupying it just the way it was before, and a Reaper being the one ruining ch2.
Demon Prison is even worse, warlocks just wait Reaper to spawn and change channel, one warlock ruining the whole map experience, even with the number of channels improving.

If IMC wants to stop the whole AFK or Warlock farming just NERF THE GOLD ON THAT MAP isn’t that hard. And please do buff the exp the mobs give. The whole game is already lacking grind maps (even hunting grounds give pretty lame exp) and the 2 of the, what is it, 5 grindable maps? are even more dead now.
Please give us another/better maps to grind or improve the ones we already have.

Pretty neat idea actually, but afkers would still grind there for exp for themselves and alts in party. Nerf silver AND exp gaining if not moving for some time.

Here is another idea. Just disconnect account for not moving for 10-15-30 minutes on that map (and Demon Prison 2 too). It will force bots to use more complex scripts for moving around -> they’ll become more vulnerable to reporting.

Or even more easy - stop EXP gaining after 5~ minutes (or even less) of not moving. Some RO servers fixed afk homunculus grind with such approach. Want EXP - move and don’t afk.

Just cuz players abuse something for it, doesn’t mean it is designed to be that way. It’s killing the grinding at points we needed them to ease the pre-exp curve levels and the boringness of questing.
Abusing it to level an alt isn’t such a big problem and being it that way would decrease the flux of those actions by at least 80% anyway. Just don’t kill the map at all by bringing those never ending reapers somewhere and leaving other channels/places still up for WL and afk farmind while fking up with someone that wants to grind.

Just stay at necro party for grinding, what’s ur problem?

Between you complaining that you can’t grind, now watch to the other side can any necro grind on 300+ locations?
Another one thing for thinking I was playing since CBT firstly I saw players with pets in Tenet Church I wrote to support they said it’s intended, so they have intended afk farming shrug And only now you doing the big problem of it.
One more thing as ppl saying necro farming 1-2 million per day, but noone says that you can farm 500k+mats per 1-2 hours at 300+ locations.
Moreover if they will delete necos there would be tonns of bots/pyro/warlocks and noone will have posibility to farm too tho. Same about bots you know how their ban system works? You know that it’s not enough just to report them, send ticket?
Don’t you mind how much ppl paying about electricity for this 1-2m/day?
Do you really know about what you talking?

Better to delete necro and just give them reset potions, cz this bosses making too much laggs on servers.
Now watch following sheme after deleting necros:
rip necro->paladinoracle afk->ppl with pet afk +++bots/warlocks on each step
hum…feels like nothing changing, ppl still afk :disappointed_relieved:

LOL? this system brought me back to the game. Honestly the grim reapers do not affect either the legit/afk farmers.

Do you even read or understood what I said? Never even touched on the subject of nerfing/deleting necros. Yeah it’s a bit unfair they staying afk and all but that isn’t the main problem nor my complaint, It’s just frustrating that they get all grind spots on Dina stay afk and we can’t get the exp there AT ALL be it legit or in their party. And now with the reapers it’s impossible to get any exp in Demon Prison too. Again, be it trying to legit grind or be it because warlocks don’t go there anymore.

It wasn’t a cheap “man I’m jealous of all the tons of gold they make with afk and no effort” and more like a “thanks IMC you made the grind just straight up impossible by trying to approach that issue that way”. Get what I’m trying to say?
Edit: Right I see it could be read that way by the “oh kill the silver there” it was just me giving a suggestion of approaching it now that IMC WANTS TO mess with it, a way that would not mess with someone wanting to level up.

grinding at dina bee in 2017. Wew lad. The Dungeons got x2’d and arranged for 140 and 170 and you still have a hard time leveling? Questing shouldnt be necessary 50 - 200+ or something. Not even kidding.

Of course that doesn’t address the issue for necro farmers. This is the GM’s solution because the dev’s haven’t done anything yet. Remember GMs =/= Devs. Ive heard they nerfed the silver in DP2 however

Dunno what you guys are talking about. Ive been happily farming Dina with my pyro. The reapers doesnt bother me, i just dont put fireballs near them obviously lol

The other manual farmers just lure reapers to clear out the necros and farm afterwards.

I guess if they changed:

  1. Warlock’s Invocation skill to have a limit on the amount of dark spirits you can make or drain SP based on the amount of spirits you have already.
  2. Sorcerer and Necromancer summons to be stronger and resistant to boss knock backs and knock downs, but have a shorter duration similar to zombies from Bokor.
  3. Pets so that they go to sleep after the player character dies and not be able to get EXP or silver if they don’t have stamina.
  4. Amount of silver gained from killing monsters so that it decreases after a certain level above the monster being killed.
  5. EXP gained in share party to depend on the level of the person killing the monsters.
  6. Higher level maps to give more silver and have more monsters in them.
  7. Cafrisun Set buff, Sacrament, Enchant Fire/Lightning and other similar effects, that give another line of damage, to use a small amount of SP each time you basic attack.

A bit of explanation…

  1. It would make it so warlocks can still use invocation but not clutter the map so much with spirits so other player have a better chance at fighting the monsters.
  2. Sorcerers and Necromancers are in a weird spot where they lack the damage to do things at higher level most of the time, increasing the familiar effectiveness would help them greatly. Decreasing the amount of time the familiars stay around helps combat the AFK nature of the classes.
  3. Decreases the chance of players using pets to AFK farm.
  4. Higher level players would be less likely to take lower level grinding spots.
  5. Similar reason to 4, the players far above the map level wont be able to give EXP so easily to lower level teammates.
  6. Similar reason to 4.
  7. I feel like this would be more balanced class wise and help to discourage the Priest class bots.

Just things I could think of off the top of my head. :stuck_out_tongue: now someone translate all that into Korean or w.e so the Devs can read it properly.

I wish that was true, too bad I run 140 dungeon 3 times and mercenary 3 times using the 8x exp tomes and doesn’t even got more than 160. Just thought it would be good to see how the exp were there and got all this. It’s just sad the game doesn’t have any grindable spots other than Alemeth anymore. Dungeons 230 and 260 are pretty bad for exp and mercenarys starts to lack some exp giving no other choice than questing that’s why I tried to avoid quest at those level. Maybe the problem is just the grinding on map systems not being optimized at all.

But it is true. It just won’t happen in one day. I’ve made about 8 rank 8’s so far and this pattern has worked every time. If you want to rush you only need to pick the RIGHT spots to quest. There’s a level req chart for exp cards, look at that and quest in the area. More often than not. Once you hit about the 210 mark you need to start questing. Alemeth onward. Then you go to mesafasla onward. and then you go do the quests east of klai. The only grind i usually end up doing is maybe maven and that doesn’t even last an hour.

But i understand you just want to grind instead. I respect that but this is the fastest way to do it.

EDIT: There is good grinding spots onward as well. Just the one around 230 is a little harder to get to. Evac.

after that you do storage 252 ish. and then you can hit up work shop. Another great place too.

Maven is decent too as well. 260 ish for that.

grind from 200 to 250 on truffles+all quests(9 lvl cards+)+some 14 lvl cards from 300+ mobs killing+map exporation on r8 that’s the way to get easy 330 in 2-4 days after 250 :point_up:
