Which part of basic class for bard and dancer if implemented in future on ToS?

As we know that job classes exist up to rank 7 include secret jobs. I wonder that IMC or kToS maybe make newer jobs in far future, whatever be normal or secret job.

If they possible make bard and dancer job any rank, which part of basic class branch for both? On swordman, archer, cleric or wizard? What do you think?

My mind: bard for archer branch, dancer for wizard branch.

Dancer for wizards are kinda weird, I guess. I like the way it was on FFT: both come from archers but if your character is male it is a Bard and if Female it is a Dancer.
But still, I’m not sure if those two classes are going to be implemented at all.

Both would probably be archer. But that aside their are 20 classes planned currently for each branch. All the swordsman ones are known but i think there a few missing from each of the others still.

no they need to make a thief branch and put bard and danger and gypsy and rogue all of that under that branch to me it makes no sense why i would have to play an archer to become a dancer its silly.

It won’t happen there is no design space for a theif base class. Its sub classes would encroach on other classes terf.

you have no way of saying it wont happen games change all the time its up to imc what happens. the only class that would need to be moved is rogue if that wsa the case

… Rouge / scout / shinobi/ corsair etc are all reasons that support my it won’t happen. Due to the fact they would have to be moved when they are fine where they are. Then those classes would have to be replaced in those branches. Then the classes moved to theif would have to be re balanced because the skill combinations with the new classes they are paired with.

Its a logistical nightmare and there is no good reason to do it as all the classes that could go under theif would fit under archer or swordsman.

either way there is plenty of other classes that can go under the thief branch so all i see is a cop out.

Tell me what goes under theif and does NOT go under archer or swordsman.

they havent been implemented into the game but putting a shinobi in a branch full of sword and spear wielding makes no sense, but aside from where imc already screwed up. if they were to implent other classes such as dancer bard, gypsy, shadowdancer, vagabond, pirate tho that is corsair. assassins arcane tricksters, oh btw rogue should not go under archer tho use daggers no other class in the archer branch uses daggers. all those classes i listed should never go under thief and or swordsman it makes no sense like hey lets add a random class to this branch that makes no sense

Don’t bother. You truly can’t make everyone happy.

You have all these choices and still aren’t satisfied, lol. Go play Maplestory if you want a thief class.

I would take the time to shoot these all down, but we are in the wrong location also search the old thief threads you can see me poke this defense apart there in the past.

dievderby… im a diev and i have cooldown reduc, immobilize and slow enemies, sp usage reduc…

but not really like bard and dancer

Maybe you’re right. But I wonder how they could any synergy with other.

Personally I would like to see Bard implemented as its own base class. I don’t want it to just be some side-show hidden class attached to Archer or anything.

Start out as a Bard, skills are active channel buffs like from RO. Other jobs include; Banshee, Metalhead, Siren, Warcrier…

i don’t care about old threads I’m simply stating where I’m sure many people would agree where specific classes should be in a branch that should exist. don’t like it? don’t read it. don’t care? don’t respond

It just seems unlikely to be under mage as its not magical.

Cleric is a no for sure as they only take things based in various religions, unless there is a religion where playing a lute/harp or dancing are a big spiritual thing. I guess with dancing they could take a native american approach?

So archer seems like the winner for them as they are all about agility and dexterity, but even then most of the archers are combat classes where dancer/bard would probably be a support or de buffer which is unusually for archer.

They are kinda a tough to place.

Id happily explain but please take it to the appropriate thread our discussion is off topic here. There is even a recent thief thread u could go to.

What we know is that Pied Piper is an Archer who uses a flute and it will have mob controlling stuff and maybe buffs/debuffs… We don’t know too much… I remember the devs said something about it that it won’t have attacking skills…so…

Otherwise I expect Macumbeiro to be our dancer class in ToS. But that is full asummption…about wiki stuff that can be connected to it and because I think the Macumbeiro girl on its art looks like she is dancing…but maybe I’m wrong. X)

Oh and…anyway… even if I would be right about Macumbeiro… I think both of these classes will be totally different from the Bard and Dancer in RO…so…
You have to accept this is not RO. X)

Statue of Goddess Ausrine seems like the most similar to bard and dancer.

Sorry, I never play dievderby before. :cold_sweat:

A lot of tribal dances are related to ā€˜religious’ purposes too! Such as local gods, or gods they just make up themselves.
Let’s not forget the Japanese and their shrine maiden dances and the million gods and the worship practices

@jessica_jensichia I did joke to my friends that Ausrine is pretty much pre-battle dance ritual
