Where to go after 270?

my character is lv 272 now. there is no quest similar to my level.

where should i go next? or i have to grinding in maven until become rank8

You can try to form a party to quest in R8 maps, starting from Inner District 8 (1 map above steel heights).

Do note that the equipment requirements from Maven Abbey onwards is very high, you may want to upgrade your equipment first to a good level before embarking on it.

Yes.
trying out any maps past 270 will murder you through the sheer level gap penalty spiking monster’s damages against you.

yeah, or this, if you got friends

ok i will try to find friend to leveling with me or go grinding til r8 :smiley_cat: thank you :joy_cat:

First go to Khonot Forest (level 278) to quest, then Khamadon Forest (282). Afterwards Nheto Forest (282) and if you are level 275 by then you can also quest in Svalphinghas Forest (286), possibly even Lhadar Forest (289).

Try to avoid questing in Inner Wall District 8 (279) and the other immediate maps in that area. It’s a pain in the ass and simply not worth all the tears unless you’re masochistically inclined. It’s mostly due to extreme magic damage some of the mobs there deal. Not all maps in this area are terrible but the first ones to quest on certainly are. It’s easy enough if you’re a damage dealing cleric, for all other classes it’s a big no-no-NO. It’s a shame because the atmosphere on those maps is actually nice.

Other than that you will indeed have to do some more Maven and or daily missions. And I fear you won’t reach level 281 with just those maps that I mentioned above. At 282 experience resets again and it’s easy enough to reach level 290 for the next dungeon.

Edit: You can also just explore maps when you’re stuck. Especially the maple forest maps are quite harmless to explore for the most part. You get 3 level 13 cards each time which is quite a lot of experience (for questing you only receive level 12 cards in comparison).

If it’s your 1st char there should be enough quests in the game without any grinding.

If you don’t have good hair enchants on the 3 slots + didel tower shield depending on build and class and / or windrunner + 3x 70 magic resistances + 2 rhevisan bracelets / sissels bracelets / max petamion + decent weapon and eventually 8 nuaele cards if you are into it (+80% magic defense) you cannot breeze in it like strong alts.

You could also play TOF.

It has no lvl requirements.

Better you stop play. This company dont know made games. Better you spend you time in another game.

Normally after I finish all my quests I explore R8 maps that provide Lv12 and Lv13 cards. Lv13 cards can be used when you reach lv275 and it provides a huge chunk of experience.

There are many early R8 maps that all mobs are passive so exploration becomes is quite easy, be careful of ambush spawning though.

And apparently someone made a new account to spread more of his salt. Shameful. (The guy above)

You should not have too many friends to have all the questions answering all the questions in the forum. That is, wanting to be personal or something else. Stop trying to defend a worthless company like that.

Apparently the fact that your first account got banned didn’t give you the hint that people don’t want your stupidity here.
I rather having a few amount of reliable friends than living around a bigger but worthless pack. Quality over quantity.

With that immature attitude of yours, I doubt you the same :open_mouth:

While it’s nice to see a large chunk of exp get added to the exp gauge, I for one won’t advise such(better off popping exp cards at the 280 reset point than before 280).
Players can take their sweet time grinding, no need to rush.

It’s not like the time back when r8 first got released had an event that provided extra bonuses for map exploration.
Most BIS are still on the 170 and 220 gears with prac weps being an exception(and it’ll still take months at best to craft that).

I’d say, take the game slowly, for their sanity’s sake.
That’s what IMC is doing too :joy:

By exploring those maps you’ll reach lv290 much faster since the game has plenty and easy lv13 card maps to explore, giving you access to better ways of acquiring experience in a faster pace.
At 290 you’ll be able to grind at timerys and do d290 dungeon, and heck they give tons of exp.

Of course, this is more of a personal choice. It’s up to OP to decide what sounds more reasonable to him.

True, but exploring a hi-leveled(4*) maps whilst being under leveled yourself will be risky though.

Grinding to 280 then eating cards to jump to 290-300 makes r8 map traversing way safer.
Also taking their time at the 270-280 point will let them gear up much properly(trans1-2 their Virtrov/Grynas/220whites/accessories) to tackle the difficulty spike offered in in the r8 maps.

ok :grinning:

Just to expand on Nekorin’s comment re: equipment…

It’s worth remembering that there are some easy and relatively inexpensive ways to add extra defense. Gemming everything up (even if just lvl.4 or 5 gems to start with), anvil enhancement (even if only to +5/+6), enchanted headgear, and perhaps even a few transcendences will make a noticeable difference. It can also be a nice diversion from questing / levelling up.

One of my alts just finished all the quests up to 265 maps ,he had thousands of cards, 360 level 11 cards, that is more than enough to reach 290 dungeon without grind.
