When will I be able to register as a new player (Australia)?

Hi there,

I have been reading the forums and keeping up to date with the current issues IMC have been trying to address.

I was planning on starting to play as soon as I got back from my FIFO job, as I am now back for a pretty long period of time. However it seems they have restricted new player registrations, is there any approximate date when new players will be able to register and start playing?

On another note, as I’m playing from Melbourne, Australia, I’ve done a few ping tests and found that the Telsiai server is giving me the best ping (around 220ms), the other 2 servers listed on a forum post Fedimian (~340ms) and Silute (~380ms).

Is there a large Aussie pop on Telsiai?

TBA on when the restrictions are being lifted. Hopefully when they can make the servers more stable.

Hello fellow aussie,

I’m from melbourne as well. playing on SEA - V atm. Not too sure what its like on SEA - T but i imagine it’s the same. Fedimian is an EU server and SIlute is a broken server so it’ll suck for you to play on those.

on SEA - V, the pings are ok but stability is still an issue, albeit not a huge one. You still get those random crushes and dcs and lags and not able to talk to npc, these problem usually gets fixed fairly soon. My experience as a whole has been somehow positive.

on SEA - T i can’t imagine there being a large aussie population since the server used to be founder only and they were opened to f2p players only for a short while before the player lock comes in. Either should be fine though.

btw does the restriction only works on free 2 play account or does it works even if you buy the beginner pack?

Restriction only prevents client download, even for old players that had to delete/reinstall client.

There is solution/workaround to it but we are still to receive a word from IMC about that issue.

I do advise that you wait until the limitations are lifted before joining.
Cause joining now might ruin your first impressions of the game. I do think new account creation for the game is also not working. I might be wrong on this one.

And some people just can’t get over first impressions… :slight_smile:
