A squire can put anything on his signboard but there’s no way for me to actually see if the repair will actually give me 25% durability bonus. Can’t we have like an actual UI on the repair window that tells us the bonus or skill level they have for repairs? I don’t mind the weapon upgrades, it tells me how much bonus I get if I buff it. It’s just the repairs, it needs to tell us where they can do 25% and their rate for repairs in a more understandable way. It sucks how I have to click and see if it’s going to be expensive or not. Show us a rate like how gas prices show or something…
I do agree with you that the UI is lacking and should include the level of the repair skill. Same goes for any other crafter classes (pardoner, alchemist, etc). It should show all attributes that person has and anything that influences what you’re buying. That’s kind of basic.
But as for now, my suggestion is to right click the person and check their character info. If they’re a squire C3, it means they put efforts into being squire and the likelihood of scamming you is a lot lesser.
The reason for that is because when you go squire C3 you care more about your squire reputation than a mere squire C1. If people get scammed in your shops and stop buying from you, you wasted a lot more to level to C3 than someone who only leveled to C1.
