When everything knocks back, it's no longer fun

Knockbacks are annoying to say the least. I’m okay with a few skills that do so, but when almost every boss and some mobs have a knockback with every skill, it goes from challenging to obnoxious real fast.

You can’t even go immune to a lot of them, outside of pain barrier.

I really think it’s bad that the only challenge that fights have is this overused mechanic. Some bosses and mobs do nothing but spam skills that toss you like a ragdoll, only to try to jump to dodge and still get hit again. I really think the developers don’t understand that challenging doesn’t it always mean it’s fun, especially when you have no real way to counter them for most classes.

Wouldn’t be a problem if you moved out of the way. Oh right, there’s latency issues and misleading animations to deal with as well.
This is why sw3 is a must for me lol

That’s actually not true at all, problem with bosses that spam KD like no tomorrow its far beyond of you actually being knocked down. For me at least what i hate about this kind of fights its that it isnt fun at all, its just anoying as hell, honestly most bosses from this game dont feel challening enough to be fun and they can be divided in 2 types:

1.- HP sponges, just our regular huge bosses that dont do anything at all and even when they try they just explode after 2 procs from chapparition or glass mole

2.- Anoying kd spamers, i dont think i have to say more about this ones

TBH I would love to see new challenging mechanics for bosses like they go to phase 1 and 2 becoming harder after % amount of hp, or they cant be damaged untill you destroy something/kill minions, dunno there are too many ideas implemented by too many other games that can make boss fights fun. Personally i cant help but to fall sleep after my 5 salus runs if we get too many mausoleum misions because bosses are ■■■■■■■ boring.

Heck FFXIV shows how good boss fights should be, we could have a diferent kind of bosses just to test our end game gear and individual skills, world bosses dont count for obius reasons and the good guild raids are very hard to get to(36k talts, sure bro).

Nah, even without latency and other issues and moving out the way, this mechanic is way long overused in this game. That’d be nice not to see it once in a while on a boss.
Not to mention that’s the ultimate tool to cancel your spells and yet consume your cds. It’s better to wait for a cast to finish and knockback than to cancel the cast itself. lol

Totally a lazy mechanic, boss could have different abilities, instead every fckng hit knock back

don’t get me wrong, I agree with you. It’s a ■■■■ system, artificial difficulty is one of the worst design concepts ever

exactly! especially those bosses that spam knockback before you can even stand up so you die.

especially that boss at Tevhrin Cave that all of its skills are knockback and he hits super fast and moves super fast so you litterally can do nothing at all

There’s nothing more annoying than being kicked out of your own Safety Zone simply because some bosses knockbacks don’t give a ratass about game mechanics.
