Yeah, pretty late. but I might be starting a new job so… things might change. lots of uncertainty there. one more uncertainty, two, class and server. I know no one who’ll play the game with me, so i’ll leave my luck in this community. 
As long as you are part of a community usually you can find a few new friends to tag along with. The only downfall of games like ToS is theit extreme level gap if people don’t want to cooperate. However, w/ it on steam and a friendly nature, you shouldn’t be out of friendly faces to play with.

I am sad that I won’t have much time to play. My classes began last week. I study Forest Engineering at the Federal University in Brazil, so I don’t have much time.
I will most likely play for an hour every day before bed during the week. On weekends I won’t play because of my lab work and girlfriend. Hahahahaha

@Enique - The drawing for the original RO was so nice to look at, and .gifs like that are terribly difficult to make. Gotta respect them sprites!

Hell yeah it is. RO gifs are always amazing to watch. Love the pixelated art of that game.
RO was so charming. I’m glad ToS played up the artstyle of RO and kept a lot of reminiscent qualities of it.
But they still got nothin’ as sexy as a shadow chaser.
I must say, tho ToS is very reminiscent of RO, those two are completely different from each other. Gameplay, art style, classes, monsters, story, even the music (though from the same artist). The term spiritual successor applies to ToS very well.
I agree that they are definitely different and have defining features creating that differentiation, but I feel like the artstyle/music are actually very, VERY similar; I could never shake the feeling of nostalgia while listening to the music in the mines, in particular.
The classes even are also pretty similar in a lot of ways–at least conceptually if not mechanically; like “linker” being a class, but being vastly different from RO to ToS. If you go Wiz -> Linker -> Thaumaturg then what you’ve got is something incredibly similar to the RO Linker class. Likewise, if you go Wiz -> Pyro/Cryo -> Elementalist, you can create something very similar to RO Wizard Class. Go cleric -> Priest and you’ve got something very similar to RO Priest.
ToS definitely added more potential for variety with classes, but I am still hesitant about whether or not that’s a good thing based on their sort of poor execution of it in my mind. I feel like they tried to do too much, and in doing so, many classes do not have solidified identities or unique playstyles.

You make a lot of good points. And I do agree that their attempt to allow a lot of diversity may just end up with a lot of people being jacks of all trades rather than a professional at any one.
Also, good conversations are lively and hop around a bit. Don’t think it’s too off topic

@Mitsu - That is what I’m hoping a lot of people will do, it seems to be the more popular server at the moment. And I’ve seen a lot of awesome individuals calling it their home!

I loaded up the IP’s from my “serverlist_recent” and just ran a quick ping on them, only the one previously known as Laima returned anything =) So for now they likely disabled the rest and are running the original server still to set things up =)
