What's your biggest concern?

At low levels your attacks will naturally be weaker than at high ranks due to not having as many stat points so there’s really no reason to make the skills significantly weaker, high ranking skills should just provide you with A> More strong skills + utility (as 2 strong skills deal twice as much damage as 1 strong skill you will continue to get stronger) and B> skills that really work well with your earlier skills adding on or increasing their power C> the earliest point one would have a circle 3 skill in the game would be around lv 45-50 if i remember correctly. So now you’re a level 50 with like 7 skills on your skill bar as opposed to 12-15. why punish someone for sticking with a class they like just because its low rank. If you want everyone in the game to be warlock dragoon and plague doctor just because they are the highest ranking classes then this system of weak early ranks will work perfect. Then we can all be the same.

Cash shop should exist ONLY for cosmetics and things that do not effect on the player progression.

My biggest concerns are:
1. About the shared storage system. The lost of potential is really an annoying thing that makes no sense. This is not a trade at all, because still be my item and my character, so, why this lost of potential?

2. The party exp. on dungeons compared to the finder system are really bad. Equality is the word of the progress

3. The Linker Hangman’s Knot ability is extremely nerfed, 1.8s on lvl 5 is quite bad to people who wants only the Linker 1 and make some builds based on that skill. The ideal are about 4s on lvl 5 and 10~12 on lvl 15. Remember, Linkers haven’t good damage by themselves and will depend on that skill to grind and up

4. The censor blocking words and even phrases that aren’t to be blocked needs to be fixed.

5. The number of equips and the differences between them. Are very few equips on the game, and with very large differences between them, with barely makes the people use the same equips everywhere. Arde dagger and karacha dagger, for example, why not another dagger with another type of damage? Why do not increase the number of the equips sets?

6. The 1.1 trade. I understand the reasons of this be a VIP feature, but I think the VIPs should be able to trade with everyone, and not only with the VIPs. This probably solve the most concerns of the people about this feature =]

-Poor skill scaling (Balance):

Increasing the base damage of skills by a small amount, especially when it’s not a multi hit skill doesn’t warrant investing in further circle or even bothering with leveling it above 1 if the skill main draw is utility (Spear lunge is an example of that). I feel more % scaling should be introduced, and said % scaling should increase either per level or after X level in the skill (5-10-15 for example).
% scaling is extremely strong in this game, and exclusive buffs like quickcast attribute or the ranger buff almost instantly become get or reroll for damage dealers (50% for quickcast which is far too high, rumors says the ranger buff has been nerfed in our version to 20% at C3 which is a reasonable value). It’s even worse for wizard as wiz C2 safe cast is a good pick for classes like psyko or featherfoot, but due to how op quickcast is there is pretty much no reason to not go to C3 wizard aswell even if it wasn’t the main reason for the wiz2 pick resulting in even poorer build variety.

-Open world grind is terrible:

This is something i felt has become worse and worse across all beta tests/korean release. Basically due to poor exp gain and poor density, on top of dungeon or questing exp being insanly higher, grinding mobs in the open world feels extremely unrewarding. I feel open world grinding is in need of help right now be it mob density or exp gain.

-Dungeon finder needs a rework:

There is 0 reasons than using said tool should grant extra exp against a group of firends or strangers than formed their own party whitout using it.
If you want to keep said bonus then allow precreated parties (full or not) to join a dungeon using said system to abuse the extra exp and match them with enough players to fill the remaining slots.

-Endgame content:

Add more alternate activities be it more gvg/pvp mod/features/rewards, or random minigames. I can understand a lack of pve content especially when the supposed max level isn’t reached but at leasst provide players with fun activites to keep them busy in the meantime.

-Mob balance:

I personally think mobs should use more skills, they mostly feel samey atm outside of extremely rare case (like mobs using reversi or mobs with high block rates) and the general balance direction when it comes to mobs atm is turning them into damage sponge rather than making them feel unique or interesting to fight.

idk, stands to reason a person with a 9 to 5 who has time to play for 4 hours a night with a 30% exp boost equates to like 5 and a half hours of exp and they are funding the game. And they are expected to compete with 14 year olds who play 12-16 hours a day. Comparing 12 hours of exp to 5 and a half does it really make that big of a difference to you? Considering the paying players keeping the game going and the kids only benefit to ToS is strengthening community size.

btw im just using kid as a stereotype because in most cases its extremely true and I think everyone knows that.

When I played in the closed beta, I had vastly differing feeling about different classes I played.

I’m hoping that maybe in PvE the swordsman could either be toned down, or everything else could be buffed, because as a swordsman I was practically invincible, whereas with any other class I embraced the element of danger while fighting huge mobs of monsters.

Truth be told, I began to doze off in my chair playing the swordsman, with how easy it was. Maybe I’ll just have to play a more challenging class, but the swordsman being too easy to play is one of my major concerns.

The companions seems to have penalty of damage with a certain level of difference between him and the target, because of that he just acts like a “tank” and dont do dmg at all, fix it please!

The summons sometimes stop walking and stay there until you use the skill that makes him walk or when you summon him again, sometimes they attack the wind etc… fix the AI please!

Almost all skills dont have much damage change when you put in your primary attribute and others have a bad scaling. You can go full CON wizzard and lost just a little damage compared to other wizards. The HP and SP regen is TOO LOW… SPR serves only to get more MAX SP.

Unbalanced PVP… cleric tree doesn’t have CC and they need that to do dmg with krivis and druid, archer dont do much dmg in swordman etc…

Only 1 item in market with/out vip and 30% price penalty? ALL THAT AND NO TRADE! Only 5 items with vip? really? x.x

The game is easy, monsters and bosses don’t attack you, they aren’t aggressive and when they try to attack you, they miss, they are TOO SLOW!

This is what I remember now, sorry for any mistake, english isn’t my first language.

I’m here asking IMC to hear not only me, but to hear all of us! The game is in the right way, but the end is far.

Where is the true part? You seriously want to tell me that most kids wont have tokens up and running?.. jesus i wish i could be so naiv again.

My biggest concerns right now, and many people seem to share them, are:

-The fear of a Granado Espada situation of constant additions to cash shop such as scrolls required to continue lvling, cash shop-only classes…

-The fact that something as basic as trading, even transfering items to our own characters, is gated by the most expensive and less appealing VIP I’ve ever seen in a f2p mmo. Even p2p mmos monthly fees are cheaper than ToS if the token price is indeed ~18€/$

On the openning date, there is only 1 concern, Server Readiness. I don’t want OBT to delay any further.

For the long time concern, there are 3 points that I fear.

First, rebalancing the class to the point that existing build is no longer usable. If we have to reskill, it is fine. But if class combination become useless too, that will be scary.

Second, end game content will be boring dungeon run/pvp/ guildwar over and over everyday. It will become a duty that you log in everyday to do one dungeon run and go to sleep. And that makes game boring.

Lastly and what I fear most, boss fight would be like taking an exam: watch example from youtube, memorize pattern, act exactly as walkthrough step guide you. It leaves no room for creativity and improvisation.

My biggest concerns:

  1. Mob density.

  2. The inability to trade with other players. Absurd.

  3. The apparent inability to party with friends. EDIT: This is actually a good idea now that I thought about it. This will KILL BOTS. THINK ABOUT IT. HOW ARE PEOPLE GOING TO TRADE WITH BOTS NOW?

  4. The 30% tax issue with the AH.

  5. Being charged to use the storage system. Absurd.

  6. The fact that there’s an EXP penalty for killing mobs 5+ levels higher than you.

  7. The fact that you cannot reset your class combination.

On another note, can we please stop all of the complaining and whining about the cash shop and saying “omg it’s p2w!!!”. They need to make some sort of profit… quit being ignorant and selfish. From what I’ve seen of the cash shop, it’s mainly cosmetics and the consumables aren’t even that “OP”.

1 - Optimization (FPS on GvG it’s a real problem)

2 - The lack of possibilities to change the way of the classes. Classes with hybrid vocations like Nightblade, Battlemage, and others would be good.

3 - More often cases like “Chaplain”. If u pick 3 Peltasta show that u really, really want to be a Tanker. So, what about unlock a new class like “Guardian”.Barbarian 3 unlocks Fighter (with Axe or hammer). Or somenthing like this.

4 - Bosses should give a lot of XP, and PvP/GvG too. Only quests n dungeons make the game a bit linear. I don’t know other ways to solve this.

But, i really, really love this game, and i’ll play even if its on black n white pixeled. Thanks for bring this piece of gold IMC

ping / lag is my biggest concern :disappointed:

The only things that concern me going in to iToS is the class balancing and guild consent to GvG. I believe classes that are considered sub-par should be touched up to promote more build diversity and playstyles. My concern with GvG consent is that I have a friend who is aiming to start a guild and get in to ToS by finding a social aspect of the game that’ll keep him interested, but he isn’t looking to PvP/GvG. I’m hoping that IMC can come up with an amicable solution that’ll please both PvE and GvG/PvP crowds with how guild content is handled as opposed to favoring one side too heavily without regards to the other.

Edit: Oh, and better optimization. If I remember correctly, that was determined to be one of the reasons of frame rate drops in iCBT2. Not sure if it has changed since that ended, but felt I should include it.

Ping, FPS, not being able to trade (or only VIP’s being able to).

My main problem with the game is the cash shop being pay2win, in the long run this kill ANY game, even with hype…fans and etc. Every MMO with p2w cash shop die sooner or later!

Low rate of fps and drop all the time

First of all i never said anything about kids. I said im using them as a stereotype. The point is why not give the people keeping the game going through their personal income a little less grinding? Seems completely reasonable. So congratulations you completely missed the point

Hahahaha. Okay, all your complaints sounded weird at first, now I know why.

“Barbarian is weak” comes mostly from people who said things like you said and never played the game. It still dishes a ton of damage with little effort, good cooldowns and the scaling takes longer to fall off because the base numbers are high.

Overall, my concerns with the game are fairly minimal at the moment. However, having no experience with the game previously does make it difficult to pinpoint issues…

BUT…Trading is by far my biggest concern! I really do feel there has to be a solution that allows players to 1:1 trade between players. Maybe consider making cash shoppe purchases account/soul bound to prevent trade/selling within the game.

Also, I saw where in game storage is character bound, not account bound??? Please tell me this is not true!!! Storage, including silver, should be account bound so all characters on that account have access to it. :dizzy:

Thank you @Staff_Julie for taking the time to post a thread where we can voice our concerns. It does show that you all do care about our opinions. :sparkling_heart:
