From what I have read, it’s legal, but players who’ll see you will press report bot for you. 
Not sure if troll post or not, but afk farming isnt allowed.
Players got banned for it since EA, so I believe its not allowed.
Your keyboard belongs to you but the game belongs to them. If they tell people afk farming is illegal then tell your keyboard to follow it.
PS afk farming/grinding looks retarded. Bots are doing this with a party. Insta-report from me if I saw players do this.

if one would put a heavy object on his Z key then his Z key will be damage
I suppose I could just get an archer and rest my finger on Z for a long time while I read a book. It’s not “afk” since I’m at my desk.
I’m just confused why some people think it’s okay for sorcerers/necros to afk farm Dina Bee while others get spanked for putting a heavy object on Z.
Well, if you do get banned for that you can still appeal anyway, but their offical position seems to be the following:
For example, a player going afk while leaving a heavy object on the attack key has to be handled differently from regular bots. The classifier can deem the afk player innocent from looking at the honest play records, so afk players should not be reported using the report function as that will work against your RII.
The piece linked explains how the Report Bot Function should work, so usualy people that bother with their RII will, most of the time, record behavior and open an inquiry with the Support about the offense and such, showing as best as they can some proof to back their case.
Ofc, like always, the reported can also appeal if they get banned, but if the process of checking for play data is set to be manualy and analyzed on a case-by-case scenario then both suspension or termination of access and recovery can take quite some time to take place.
I for one have been waiting for a few to get the hammer for a few weeks now after spotting them on the same places doing similar things to what Fuyue mentioned, some using summons such the skeletons, zombies or other abilities to pull enemies towards them and kill while clearly AFK. I too think its quite some bull that the Z class is taking the heavy stick while the more elaborated and fancier AFKer farmers are all still there.
I hold Z on my laptop in bed while watching netflix. Meanwhile ignoring all those idiots whispering me in spanish or portuguese.
I’m NOT AWAY from keyboard but WITH my keyboard, not because it’s the right thing to do, but because my swordie can’t last more than 10 mins in dina w/o repotting.
But yeah, as soon as it’s strong enough, I will leave the Z key AFK too. And that my friends, is future tense. Cant punish me for something I havent done yet.
Meanwhile I will still ignore all the annoying bozos trying to get me to talk, **I’m not required to reply to people, nor is it my job to prove anything to anyone. **
Because yeah, I can’t be paranoid while watching my flix. My shows are stress-free. I won’t let you ruin my shows.
Because no matter how much video evidence you post, the player could just be ignoring you purposely. There is no rules in the game where you have to reply to all mofos trying to strike a conversation withyou.

Change it to “holding Z while reading a book”
Actually, if you’re holding Z, you’re just multitasking. Not AFK. You still glance at it to make sure it’s not dead.

Sorry non-botting folks. the future is nearly here or is in fact here. it is easy to build a simple HARDWARE gadget with a few gears and mechanisms with finger-like hands or maybe just some sticks will do to push buttons. it will be able to timely repeat downward and upward motions. do this on my laptop while i work/play/watch on my desktop. anybody talks to me…i stop the gadget…and tell them to REPORT THEMSELVES FOR FALSELY REPORTING!
