Just my thought after thinking a build for an Alchemist was how was i going to transfer the silver I earned from the Alchemist to my main character, and I realized there’s no point in making such character. There are many ways to counter gold sellers, but not allowing silver transferable from characters in your account is not really one, it harms the core game mechanics more than it helps.
Hmm good point. I never thought about that. I wasn’t considering making a class that is meant to make silver from their craft, but you have a point there. I suppose you could trade the earned silver to another player and have them trade it to your other character, but that’s an o early tedious process.
Yep, silver making/crafting classes are COMPLETELY useless.
I pointed this out a long time ago and even got a forum staff’s like to the tread, still going on pointing this out as today… but seems like the dev team of the game doesn’t really care about it.
Basically seems like you’ve got to make it then leave it AFK to make money untill you have enough to buy a token on the market, buy the token… use the token for your other character’s pleasure… repeat
Really this is the only use these classes hae as for now
yup , opening team storage would help ¬¬
I’m making a moneymaking class just so I can buy all collection items I want.
Yeah, they really need to fix that. Since as of right now there is not point in making any of those classes.
I want an answer, let the magic happen!

If you’re ressourceful, it’s not impossible. Money is a common bartering unit for goods and services, it’s great for facilitating trade but it’s not a necessity.
You can craft your own goods and sell those on the marketplace or trade them between characters with the Team Storage, but making effective use of both will require a token, yes. Otherwise you can just be self-sufficient.
Those hoping to buy shortcuts through money will understandably be upset by this system and IMC will most likely react to this at some point once the complaints reach critical mass.
Are you guys serious? Someone max lvl with max skills in say weapon enhancing/repairs with pure INT will make a killing as everyone will want to be buffed and repaired from that person not to mention you can set the price of your services to whatever you want if nobody else can skill/stat better than you in that trade. I’m starting to see lvl 3 potions made by someone in Auction house and they are immensely more potent than the noob shiit you buy at the NPC shop. Some person had a squire shop in town today and was like 2k cheaper than the other person, yeah well they made about 10k off me already to and from repairs because mobs are getting tougher to bypass in lvl so I want ever bit of buff I can get and if someone can make my armor last longer with their skills shut up and take my money.
Er, the point of the thread is that they can’t transfer that money over to their fighting characters. Money classes like squire and alchemist are inherently rather bad at combat by design, to the point where all that money won’t be enough to make them match up to most other builds. This is presumably intended design by the developers.
But they can’t transfer that money to the combat characters in any feasible fashion, so it sits on a character who, even after using it, will still suck for playing. Not much point to making a ton of money when your character will still suck even with all that money and you can’t transfer it to any of your other characters.
Given that silver trading is blocked, how exactly could one do that?
I didn’t know that. I thought silver was part of the limited trades. Thanks for clarifying that.
So you are saying the players need to find loop holes in the system because of a bad management? Why would ToS have shop oriented classes if they are so restricted, if the trading/transfering between your character or others is a decision to battle gold sellers its clearly not working, and it’s not the solution. They are just damaging core gameplay of classes.
That’s not the point of the discussion, don’t get me wrong, the crafting/enhancing classes make a ton of money, but what’s the point of getting millions on just one class?
I can think of a few ways, but none are ideal.

You don’t go full economist only, and just take a rank or two in place of a sub circle that has little bearing on your main’s performance. Yes, you won’t get that secondary lv5 attack or buff, but you get potions and money or whatever.
-
You make so much money that you can completely eat the 30% market tax when buying bargaining chips from your main to feed them silver, then selling it right back at the standard going rate. However, you lose a ton of money in each transaction unless you’ve got Token status, and any gear exchanged this way loses durability both ways.

Your alt makes money while you play on your main character, and you only occasionally switch between them for a select few things, like the mentioned Tokens and Collection items which are team-wide. If you’re already Token status, you can buy things on your economist and transfer them through Team storage (does this still degrade the items in question?).

Ignore either the silver generating class, or the general content plowing class, and just live full time as one or the other. Play the game “normally”, or play the market exclusively. Maybe it’s just fun to amass a mountain of silver without any real intention of spending any except to make even more?
Is this petition official? Because if it does, It will completely fix all issues regarding the trade.
Its a good idea if this petition will push through and reach the devs Official or not
