I understand that every class is different and is special in their own way and any build is op with gear.
I’m trying to get an idea of what is the highest dealing damage class late game when fully geared, at least in your experiences that you’ve noticed.
I heard doppel tends to shine with full gear.
Doppel and Swartzr Reiter
Swordman - Doppel
Wizard - Elementalist
Archer - Fletcher or Musket
Cleric - I really don’t know, hate that tree.
Not as practical DPS but theoratically speaking, Kabbalist as they dont run out of HP and SP. and if an enemy deals 555,555 damage the Kabbalist can return the same damage.
for cleric it might be PD. kabbalist is good in pvp but in pve its really bad for what ive seen plus its only good skill is x7 which is really only good in pvp. PD has amazing aoe an no other cleric class comes close to its dps except maybe monk>inquisitor (if well geared and good attributes)
doppel is gonna get nerfed soon though, or other classes will get buffed
what makes you think that?
because the damage between doppel and other classes is too far apart at full gear

sorry no legit proof or calculations its just from experience doing earth tower and dungeons
other dps just looks pale when a god-tier doppol comes along

2 handed weapons looks stronger now.
And I’m not sure if they would “tone down” doppel… This class has numerous balancing and fix. Doppel is high risk high return after all or fail at that description

swordsman in general are stronger, single target doppel or fencer will take the number one spet (godly geared) but imo doppel is way cheaper + the aoe, but in general you have salads like sword3-high2-barb-fencer-shinobi, sword3-barb-cor3-shinobi, sword3-rod3-shinobi-murmillo, sword-pelt-hop-rod3-shinomillo wich excell at burst and singlet target dps and not forgotting the hoplita-lancer mix, almost all of those will outdps other classes with decent gear, yet they lack what a doppel have (insane aoe dps+burst).
Mention another hidden OP class: lancer
dragoon + lancer at average gear can already destroy the boss like a piece of wood
(gae bulg, spear lunge, crush then quintainx2 is basically 2.6million burst on a well geared lancer)
Still, no way compare dopp tho.
Last week I did Earth tower, especially at 26F, team up with a full gear Dopp makes my warlock and lancer feels like trash, but he does have trans7 +17 sarknis.
He can one shot the mob with kagura buff if it wasnt the dmg cap

in before the history of doppel has absurd DPS due to signature skill Cyclone Previously, it’s 0.3 duration increase per lv and there was a bug that increase your cyclone atk speed with DoV combined with bug from glass mole card)
Then after that fixed, cyclone got lowered to 0.2 per lv and bug got fixed
and then we have current doppel.
Imagine if that goon + lancer was using regard pike with glass moles lol. I have a SW3 HOP3 goon lancer and I can ET10f with just a 170 weapon and armor lol.
