What's in stall for Rank 8 Monks? It better be good or GG reroll guys!

Even after finally getting that bloody Arde Dagger for my Monk at lvl140, I have basically stopped playing ToS until info on what Rank 8 has in stall for Monks…

As I planned to go Cleric 2, Priest 2, Monk 3… Rank 8 will either make or break Monk… A physical based class in a tree full of INT & SPR based specialization…

It was a pain to level a Monk with nothing but auto attacks and completing those +5 stamina quests and there is no way I am going to start another new character and go through those hidden quests and chests hunting all over again…

If the long awaited Lama class ends up as a Support-based SPR/INT class… All I can say is GG monks as those STR DEX CON based monks can go into the trash.

edit 29 July 16: After looking at the rank 8 stuff Archers are getting… AOE, AOE, AOE, AOE, AOE!!! MOBILITY, MOBILITY, MOBILITY!!!

If rank 8 doesn’t give Monks anything AOE, DPS or MOBILITY… I say screw it and all Monks should just reroll.

Rank 5 is actually your patience test and you need to save 5 points so at least you get Energy Blast level 5 already for rank 6…

Honestly, there are more than just Cleric/Priest/Diev to add Monk’s supportive. Even if last 2 Cleric class does not synergy with Monk, PD/Kabbalist can still picked for their support. Also in my opinion, you can somehow stall your main stats for a while then pump INT/SPR for your support class even just 20-30 stat is enough for sub stats… The reason is you already got 200 points of STR and/or DEX at least and you don’t get much benefits until you fill your sub stats (SPR will add Blessing bonus for example)…

I currently have Monk 2 with Krivis and around 35 INT with it. Zaibas and Cure are only like 1/3 of my Energy Blast damage per hit (but EB has like 17-18 hits per cast while those two are only like 10 hits). What makes it cool you can Double Punch while Zaibas/Cure are on cast so you actually will add more buffs and some DPS if you pick magical class… There is nothing wrong to add some variety and extra role outside just buffs/melee because rank 8 will expand more stat points…

We pick monk simple because for lol …
Well to be phy cleric damager … but atm support in cleric class outdps monk … i dont know about july 26
( dp is ping ) you lost dps if your ping sucks …

Don’t monk got some attribut to negate their annyoing knocback in KToS ?
I think just the next patch will help alot.

for rank 8 what ive heard is that we are getting

inquisitor and daoshi.

they both seem like magic classes to me. maybe lama or shepherd wil be hidden, but i dont think that will happen due to imc having only 1 hidden per tree, but clerics are at disadvantage for hidden classes bcuz ours is the only one that restricts our builds.

daoshi might, its a chineese priest, so its pretty much confirmed as a support, and support scales with spr

i hope daoshi is good. but inquisitor has a chance of being magic dps, and we dont have a lot of those in cleric tree ( sadhu doesnt count as dps imo )

Hoping rank 8 clerics have some cc skills and better AoE attack :v

I love my diev/Monk. And if rank 8 bring nothing I will pick Diev 3.

for r8 i will prob choose daoshi if its support. or ill choosr diev3 if daoshi is terrible

I still have my fingers crossed in the hopes Shepherd will be a new rank 8 Cleric class introduced and that it will be SPR-based. continues wishing

That’s exactly what I’ve been doing…

Been stuck at lvl140 and just logging in once in a blue moon to farm Arde Dagger… Finally got my Arde Dagger yesterday and now going on hiatus again.

Getting an Arde Dagger at lvl140… Can’t even give it to an alt character unless I buy a token… Meh

I’ll probably end up quitting this game if rank 8 offer nothing good for Monk.

I spent way too much time on this Monk, complete so many collections, side quests, 100% explorations, hidden stamina quests and stuff.

I’m sure many Monk players feel the same… After Auto-attacking their way up to Monk C2/C3? I think that has already left a sour taste in our mouth, enough is enough.
