What you guys think about the cleric classes?

Do you guys think they need more healing skills? or more buffing skills?
Imo they lack healing skills…

Well they all have the basic heal, since it’d be awkward not to get it at least to 5. Though I could use a class with a big healing over time circle, and I’m sure there’ll be something like that on the following ranks (maybe Army Chaplain?).

There are quite a bit of buff skills atm, but more is always welcome :smiley:

I’ts the most diverse class, You can make a tank, a support healer a buff support a Melee DPS, a Buff vendor. I’ts a full party.

i was hoping for something like that too xD
i really like some skills, but most being buffs or debuffs kinda makes me want to play another class >_>

That’s how it works. Some classes can completely change how your character functions. When I wanted to have more attack skills, I had to let go of a support class. In the end, I lost a few healing and support skills. I didn’t like it, but I didn’t want to be in the back all of the time.

I think this is one of the reasons why I like the game. Not just the stat system, crafting, and the design.

i want to make a tanky cleric like the good ol’days and lead the charge hahaha
i’m also thinking about the oracle and pardoner…UHG! this game man!

I think they have more than enough healing.

They can use heal pretty often, divine might should make it stronger.

Paladin has restoration which looks like it’s a heal aura as well, and future classes might have even more heals.

yeah, i guess you’re right, you dont get hit too often in this game, so its unecessary having lots of healings skills.

Ha. That’s kind of what I’m trying to do too. However, half of my attacks are ranged, so I will be in and out of the front lines. Which isn’t so bad if I want to snipe someone down.

As for healing, I only have 1, which I’m sure I will get at least one more with the last two ranks (or 4 ranks if they do make 10 ranks). That’s the one area I am lacking.

Hopefully they make the bosses use their skills more. They are quite slow when they attack and they stand there for 3 or more seconds.

there’re 4 more ranks, with 2 classes each, so 8 classes that might have other healing skills. :smiley:

yeah the bosses are pretty lame right now, but i’m sure they’ll improve their AI and add some cool attacks and skills

The skills this boss is using are fine, but she’s not using them enough.

they said something abou reducing the ranks, but they also said that there’ll be 80 classes…
this boss looks amazing, they should keep this dificulty to solo quests, and then make a raid version of this boss where it spams skills like crazy haha

Probably put most of the points in str/int. And it’s a shame that they wasted all those logs. :laughing:

Look at the monks beam. That thing does a lot of damage too. Makes me excited to find out what the next ranking classes are. :grin:

yeah, there’s still a lot of classes that we dont know yet and there’ll be probably more classes a year after the game releases…i’m soooo ready for this game !

Gosh, I hope they still make new ranks after the game is out. I just hope I get my homework done before it does come out. I’m already getting nervous. :cold_sweat:

I also hope they make a class for cleric that shoots done beams of light like judgment from tales of symphonia. :joy:

I tend to play a fully defensive cleric, so buffs add a welcome aspect. As for healing spells, a “cure all” sort of spell might be useful. Given the fact that casts seem temporary and tile based, full support classes are going to be pushed to their limits if the bosses ever become properly difficult. This is fine (and even good) if the game mechanics don’t impede skillful play. However, if the mechanics are clunky, I can see where having to individually cure members could be discouraging for those who want to play a support healer.

to be honest, I think they made them good , good enough that many people will want to play them, because they have the most funny and crazy master jobs like oracle. about the heal skills, I guess thats a game design decision as they want you to use more potions and healing being more important, that again could be bad for making parties without a cleric class.

imo clerics are essencial in every single party xD , even in leveling parties they help a lot. also those unique classe are awsome, the oracle, dievdirbys, pardoner… it intrigues me a lot :smile:
