from someone who actually played DN with some pvp included, i’m a bit disagreeing with this.
No one skill shot - yes, kind of true. however, i can use a class with two-trick combos to reduce a player’s hp by at least 40% (this was for a time when that certain class is OP). this requires setup, precision, and luck too. Also there are classes who can use zero to low cd skills, just spam. Well, imagine if the random team you’re facing has 2 or 3 of that same class. Trust me, it happens.
You have time to retaliate even if juggled - class dependent. some classes have more anti-juggle skills than the others. there are classes which have only one or two aerial evading skills. with this said, some combos can go and on while one is juggled - until your hp is zero.
Class doesn’t matter - i’m sure many will disagree with this. For a time, the top ladder players were ALL assassin classes, just like how clerics are dominating TBL. I’m not sure if you couldn’t call that overwhelming. DN doesn’t have missile hole but it has ankle shot and hurricane dance, the latter said to pierce through even invulnerability status.
comeback - not sure what this one means
However, it is quite true that TOS can learn something from DN’s pvp, which are, IMO:
comp on and comp off - the former means gears doesn’t matter, the latter means gears are accounted for. in comp off you’ll see people who can one shot you, and people you probably won’t be able to kill due to sheer hp/def/mdef
“room” type of pvp - in DN there are premade rooms, and players can make and customize their rooms as well. premade ones are mostly random maps, while player made can choose maps in which they can have an advantage. the good thing is that the room can start as soon as there are at least 2 players, no need to wait for others, but the room can still be open for future players until the maximum amount is reached.
skill board damages and cooldowns - are modified in PVP in DN. Most skills have longer cd, and they are mostly on CD at the start of the match.
it’s also good to note that the ladder, makes use of a modified comp off system, meaning gears matter, but so does skill. but sometimes you’ll just be so unlucky to face either a veteran or a class that totally owns you (like rock paper scissors)
