I find that starting off, even with the help of Magi event weapons (recent leveling event) that I don’t have that many options to make silver.
There’s hunting grounds (best I can do is 240 solo), 170 dungeon, and just dailies.
Is there any tips that you guys could give me to start beating the “get geared to farm gear” mentality?
Make a Schwarzer Reiter and spam Limacon, best way to farm plain silver.
Easy way to get some silver every day is joining saalus on lower level char. If you are 240+, try to join a random Shout saalus party. Open blessed cube, get blessed shard, sell your shard at market.
Some characters are made to farm. Reiter limacon is a quick and easy way to solo clear dungeons (140/170). Linker2 thauma2 feather2 to farm special drops (orange materials). If you have one of these characters you could try it.
It depends entirely on what kind of character you have.
SR3 - Dungeon 140/170, District 2
FF/Corsair/others - Farming DPK
Kabbalist - Farming rarer mobs with good drops (Galok, Hunter Bangle, etc)
Oracle+Chrono+(DPE or Swell Body) - Manahas
As a heads up to OP, SW can make money once you hit circle 3 SW, but you have to spend money to make money with them. Getting Limacon spread attribute alone is 1,685,000~ silver. And then the gears, and the upgrading…
Manamana alone will get you what you need, just take care to farm a little extra the dungeon that drops it.
A2R2AppSR3 + Limacon Spread(1.6mil) + (2-5 mil)Manamana +11~ will get you fast runs of 140/170
You can do it without Manamana but it will be slower of course, that’s all the investment you need in the character right there to run 10minute 140 dungeons. If youwant to run 170s fast invest a bit more by raising Limacon Enhance (Just a few days of runs investment will get you to 50 that’s a good stopping point until later).
The best part is that Limacon Spread is paid off by 2 days of runs (250k~/run, 750k/day). It’s a lot slower without limacon spread but you can easily do 2-3 days of runs to pay for it and see that increase, the character will get that much just getting to SR3 though through dungeons/etc so there’s no excuse to not have it once you get ready to farm it up.
I see SR’s farm dpk with aspana and their kill rate is so high I think it’s worth it.
Plus they might be the best farming class for r9
