Since the combat revamp is coming I was wondering If i should Change from Dex to Str or stay the same of maybe something different. Let me know
will need to test first. but with the changes to crit and cleric trees lack of crit boosting skills like swift step and finestra i suspect monk will be better of with str. (once again haven’t test just my best guess till we can actually try things tomorrow)
200 Dex or so would do for double punch spamming if that is of any interest for you, Doubt going full dex is worth it though.
Or just roll 150 dex and let monstrance add the last 50 dex if you include priest in your build.
But if aspd is of none of your concern, just skip dex. Going full str would probably be much more consistent than hoping for some crits to kick in.
I saw that video before and this is what ive been trying/dying to find out… What exactly is the soft/hard cap for dex and attack speed increase? Ive seen the video and the most notable attack speed boost is from 50 to 150… After that, the increment seems minimal… But its hard tell maybe FPS issue…

This, testing is needed.
Most important questions for monk stat wise should be akin to:
- Can you benefit from a heightened attack speed despite the stamina cost?
- Would ping be more of an issue in iTos? And if so, at what break off point?
- Can we get a noticeable crit rate to begin with? (Unlikely, but need to check)
- Can crit attack properly compete with patk in the current formula? (patk helps lower the def reduction, but crit attack shouldn’t. Need to test if it changed though.)
Since at least one of those can’t be tested yet, I’d advise people to take current stat recommendations with a grain of salt.
