No, actually several users are being unnecessarily mean to the guy. Heās obviously pretty freaked out. Thereās a big difference between

Thatās not how math works. Itās not that he had to go through an average of 209 grand crosses, itās that 1 out of every 209 grand crosses on the server that attempt +15 will get there without potential loss, on average. Considering how many grand crosses people are shooting towards +15, thatās not actually super unlikely.
As someone whoās played a lot of korean MMOs, most of them donāt have a āpotentialā system, nor do they have odds as high as 50% for a successful enhance. In most cases, one failure means weapon destruction, and the success rates for high enhancement levels usually drop sharply. And yet, we still see plenty of people walking around with +15s or whatever the equivalent is in those games, because itās simply an inevitable result of the law of large numbers.
+15 isnāt even very high in ToS, itās just the level where weapons start to glow. The glow effect changes at every enhance higher than that (up to a point). The reason ToS has very generous enhancement odds with the potential system and 50% success rates is because thereās no limit on the enhance level, they anticipated people gettnig to ludicrous numbers. Thatās also why enhance bonuses only get higher once at +6 when failure starts to be a factor, whereas again most games scale enhance bonuses with enhance level. Usually the highest rank gives you some absurdly large bonus compared to previous enhancements.
People are so paranoid in this game. Has anyone even seen evidence that crashing channels allows you to roll back potential loss? Because so far I have never even seen this confirmed, and considering all the accusations flying around I would assume someone would have some proof by now.
People winning in lotteries in real life, but canāt believe a merely stacked 51% chance. Opās brother merely just got lucky, which canāt be compared to real 0.020 chance in real life.
I donāt think anyone here doubt you can get a +15, just super difficult.The fact that with all this exploiting shyt going on and already having a +15, no one with common sense would even think about making another perfect item in a legit wayā¦ Unless you are blind of whatās going on and canāt read, which him and his brother obviously can by reading the replyās that they get.

I apologize about I canāt answer all of your question. Today we has a little talk and he said he love to upgrade item, and every game he played he did it for a job and he always make good money from it. The reason why he donāt socket or avekening it becouse the full potantial look cool and he love to shout the full one.
He said he was tired for a while about how he was judged from people that he is cheater. And I think thatās the reason why he mad at me yesterday.
You guys should be ashamed of yourself because of your negativity. It intoxicated this forum.

I just base my skeptical view on my experience while i tried my fair share of upgrading in this game.
being skeptical is not the same as negativity. Itās just not very nice to put words in others mouth or you might be the one that is negative towards others.

Whether or not OPās brother was cheating is able to be proven, though, because even if they have difficulty proving an item is exploited, they can very easily tell if an item has been legitimately crafted (i.e. it leveled up in times where no crashes/rollbacks ever occurred at all. Like item was upgraded at 8:05, 8:06, 11:23, two weeks later at 2:55 etc etc, and no server outages happened at or around any of those times, so on and so on).
OP I wouldnāt get rid of the item and Iād advise your brother to not sell it. Keep it as a trophy if nothing else. After IMC finds and bans the exploiters appropriately then your brother can shout the item every day if he likes as a testament to his innocence, perseverance, luck, and the overall badassery of the item itself.
Unless of course your brother is banned because even coincidentally upgrading an item around the exact times of channel crashes would make anyone squint kind of hard. But rest assured, if heās innocent, then they can at least prove that much; even if they canāt quite prove yet if an exploited item was exploited or not. But the legit ones should be easy to spot on their end.
