What should I do about my +15 Grand Cross full Potantial that made people in chat hate and threaten me?

I play this game with my brother. And the Quarrel Shooter is the only one charecter he’s playing. He always buy and upgrade his Grand Cross and sell it for making the best Grand Cross. Than 16th July he just upgrade +15 GC with Full potential successfully. I suggest him to trade it for better gear that he can use. But everytime he shout, People always say thay he is cheater or server crasher. That made him feel bad and not proud of his item. I just want that gm will check his account and make sure he is cheater or not…

ps. The picture below are some of many example of threaten message that my brother alway got everytime he shout.

My brother said he also remamber that he upgrade the Grand Cross from 13 to 14 to 15 witout re login. Dose it can check?

At a 0.48% per weapon chance of successfully raising the weapon to +15 with no potential loss, your bro had to go through an average of 209 Grand Crosses.

So you can see why, in a game where producing these with exploits was possible, no one is going to believe you.

I’d say destroy the weapon, but I have no confidence that the current investigations will lead to a meaningful amount of players being banned. Even if you two cheated, and you probably did, you’re probably fine, unless enough players complain about you specifically.

I don’t know. I remember in RO all the times I got perfect upgrades back before enriched and crap like that. It’s possible if you have enough of them to get it. I mean you’d lose the item completely if it failed past a certain point. @_@a You’d still find perfect upgrades.

+10 of what, though? RO divided weapons into categories (lvl 1, 2, 3, and 4) that dictated ease of refinement, among other things. You saw 1’s and 2’s all over the place because they had a comparatively easy 4.8% and .96% chance to shoot straight to +10.

Those numbers increase dramatically with the whitesmith’s 10% upgrade buff because the limit for guaranteed upgrade success was much higher than in ToS. For example, for a lvl 1 weapon, 1-7 were guaranteed, 7-8 went from 60 to 70% with that buff, 8 to 9 became 40% to 50%, and 9 to 10 became 20% to 30%.

I don’t have exact numbers for what this did to the cumulative success chance, but it was pretty dramatic.

Anyway, my point is that your experience seeing lots of max upgrades in RO may not be comparable, for the aforementioned reasons and for the fact that it had probably been out a really, really long time, giving exceptional upgrade results more time to appear naturally.

What is going on in ToS is definitely not natural.

I’m sorry but I highly doubt that’s possible xD. either a bug or you cheated.

as bad as it looks, it might actually be legit? its not like its 0.00% chance to do it. only gms looking into it can really tell us if its cheated or not. either way, your brother must have used up all his luck from his life. tell him to be prepared for the shitload of badluck thats going to happen to him and HATE is one of them. haha. RIP

The success rate of a +15 grand cross is 51%. IT IS POSSIBLE to make a +15 Grand Cross. If you don’t believe me, Check WIki. Here’s a link : http://www.tosbase.com/database/items/182103/

You still don’t believe? ask your own luck or else you pretty stupid to know so.
@phapasspong sorry you have to see such nasty thing, people are jealous after all.

btw @phapasspong congratz to you and your brother for really good luck. Wish i have luck like that.

The successrate of making the weapon +15 without falling once certainly isn’t 51%.

I like to advise this, so let me advise it once more: Using your brain is very important in life and often unintelligent output, such as your post, is a result of lacking the will to actively think before speaking rather than a lack of intelligence.

But yea, theoretically OPs situation is possible. But people are a little hysterical with all the bug exploiting going on, that such flawlessly upgraded weapon simply triggers exploit feelings.
I’d say a GM will clarify - but well, there aren’t any.

You lucky(!)(?) M-My Cafrisun Set can’t even pass +10 in many try eventho the wiki say it’s 50% chance, I already don’t believe in RNG God anymore. (cries on corner)

Well i believe in it just because i killed 3000shtayim and havent gotten brandish recipe when a friend of mine goes by questing kill 4 and it drop . Its just RNG people stop hating so much and make stupid speculation .when there is even 0.001 % of it happening then its bound to happen sooner or later (i hate RNG too :expressionless: )

Well you can be lucky, right?

Story time: When I farmed my ray card in RO, I found one in the third session after like two hours (so, in total after 8 hours). That in itself was quite lucky. So I thought “Well I’ll keep farming for the last hour that was planned for this activity since maybe I can sell one card if I find another one…” Guess what, the next raydric I killed after making that decision gave me the second card.

Just because it’s unlikely, doesn’t mean he cheated… but it also doesn’t mean he did’t.

your gear is causing you so much drama that you have to go to the forums to talk about it?

delete = problem solved :joy:

What you, and others in this thread, seem to be forgetting is that another way to look at your statistics over there is that for every 209 people who try to make a grand cross +15, one will succeed.

If enough people will try, some will beat the odds. It’s unlikely a single person can make a +15 grand cross, but it’s not unlikely a servers population will produce a +15 and, if they get harassed, post about it on a forum.

Basicly what you’re doing is standing outside a daycare taking polls from adults you meet and acting surprised that nearly everyone you ask has kids.
