I highly recommend it for swordsman/cleric classes. It’s just that good.

Imho, there are some games that i agree a controller dont feel right for me (FPS and the sort), but many games should had already support for them, it ease my hands from stress of the moviments i keep repeating on keyb/mouse, i can leave my laptop out of my lap and sit/lay more confortable, and if its the case i plug my laptop on my 42" TV since the wire is long (not a fan of wireless accessories (mouse, controllers)).
Since i haven’t participated in the first cbt, i dont really know the controls. I was assuming it was mouse based.
If i am playing on my keyboard, so i use my arrows to move and attack or by clicking? It’s kind of hard for me to grasp the concept of a controller if the game is mouse based. Haha.
The game was designed around being both mouse and controller based, I honestly can’t explain it too well so your best bet is to try it out!
Edit:
Meant to say keyboard and controller ;;
@likitooreki – I’d actually say the game was designed around being keyboard & controller based – mouse, gameplay wise, was added in more recently, yea? P: (you always used mouse for UI interaction but that used to be it.)
Combat seemed nice and smooth with the xbox360 controller though, I even played as archer with controller and it was still nice. (easy to attack animation cancel and what not.) – I’ll be using 360 controller again this cbt. 8)
Now i’m quite curious. Might as well set up my ps3 controller and try it out! xD
I’ll probably use keyboard and mouse but I’d like to give my new steam controller a try since I just got it.
ps3 requires some fiddling to get it to work in pc xbox360 is plug and play.
Tell us if it work fine, would be nice if they added Big Picture support, i would like to do that on my 42" TV lol.
A DualShock4.
Classy and stylish with a nice rainbow lighting.
I will be trying out the Steam controller if i get it in time.
I’m really interested in getting a controller for this! (Also so I can play Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons).
I guess I would just have to get used to having to put the controller down to type with the keyboard whenever I wanted to chat.
Skype, Teamspeak or something similar for hands-free experience if you are playing with friends/guildies.
That would be obvious choices when communicating with voice comm. No doubt, I’ll still be typing plenty in-game.
Old playstation gamepad for me, gonna remember the old days when I was playing Breath of Fire 3 and Grandia…
Depends on how smooth the Xbox360 Controller feel but i think i will mostly stick to Mouse and Keyboard and you can easier chat with People like this
i’ll mostly stick with Swordsman classes msot likely, and will be using a Xbox360 controller for that, but if im going Archer or Wizard at some point i might switch over to Keyboard+Mouse
saitech p990, used it for the entire CBT 1, and its been the best pc controller i’ve ever used for emulator games too.
You already said the best possible PC controller in your post. It doesn’t get any better than Logitech F310/710. I’m a PS fan, can’t stand the analog stick placement of the Xbox Controller. Not to mention, you get both D-Input and X-Input with the Logitech, very handy with Emulators. I’d recommend the F310, yes even without the price tag, with wired you don’t have to worry about losing signals or having to point to the receptor like a remote, oh and no need for a battery replacement!!! It’s cheap, it’s light, it feels good and it’s responsive. I play all my PC games with the F310 if possible.
