What PC controller/gamepad you'll be using for iCBT2

Hello,

I never really considered buying a PC controller until now. I would’ve already had one by now if my HDD didn’t fail during iCBT1 (I did have a key which I did give to a friend which he did play). If you guys will so kindly tell me what PC controller/gamepad you’ve used for iCBT1 and/or will be using for iCBT2 that’ll be awesome! Oh, and any recommendations on a cheap PC controller (i.e. Logitech F310) would also help. Thank you

See you guys in iCBT2!

Xbox360 controller for me.

It’d be nice to try a PS3 or 4 controller if they have all the buttons for it figured out.But I’m not entirely sure how to do that,a tutorial would be nice on how to hook it up for use in ToS.

Im gonna use xbox360 controller as well…does anyone know if it works good if your playing archer class

Hmm i think it work fine the PS3 one, but to change the keys, if IMC didnt add the option on the new version, you can change on the game folder its hotkey.xml the file for the binds.

I really liked, would love more if i could change the keybind more easely than to have to edit game files.

I’ve been using the Xbox One controller playing kCBT3, and it’s very good. (The Xbox 360 controller is virtually the same, just has a different D-Pad.)

Both controllers are very good, work with a lot of other games too. I can’t really recommend any other controller, as I find these ones are both universally great.

If that’s the case then I’ll avoid the trouble.I wouldn’t want anything else going wrong this time on test day ohmygodlasttime…

If they have it in there, that’s awesome. If not then I already know the keyboard controls,so that’s alright too I suppose.

I used only xbox 360 controller during the beta and it worked great for both my cleric and swordsman. I did try an archer for an hour or two, but for that i preferred mouse and keyboard. I never played wizard. My bro did and he preferred just keyboard for the wizard.

Honestly its not hard to get used to the layout, if its still the same, its just my preference, i would like to change a few things, but it work wonders.

Ranged classes are a bit trick to get the hang of the controller. I had problems on the first 10 mins but after i got the gist and changed to free mode the targeting mode i really liked.

IMC have been developing an in-game key configuration menu which they are close to implementing very soon.

That looks neat, i do hope they do that soon.

@Dunia ahh nice to know.

I used my cheap keyboard for iCBT1 and will do so for iCBT2, Highlander class. If you want to get a controller both the xbox360 and ps3 controllers will work but the ps3 controller will require a small program (its harmless, don’t worry).

Going to try using my PS2 controller with an adapter. Haven’t had issues using it for online gaming with InputMapper.

So is a game controller better than the keyboard??

It goes for the taste of the person, i preffer controller some preffer keyb/mouse.

I probably won’t be using a controller for ToS, but this is what I normally use on my PC http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-360-Wired-Controller/dp/B003ZSN600

Ps3 controller. Been using it since kCBT, can’t play ToS with anything but a controller now.
