What it really feels like playing right now

First of all, i love playing tree of savior. Even with all its current issues.

but the purpose of this post is this…

I currently have 4 characters.
lv 230 cata 3 dragoon = hated it
lv 252 ele3 warlock = love it. but too boring to play. almost geared to the tits too.
144 pyro 2 sorc = wasnt all i hoped for
137 hop3 = i wanted to go fencer 2 with this. but it seems that it isnt really in sync with fencer.

so this is my dilemma… EXPERIMENTATION on this game takes a huge TOLL. good lord. Up until now i have not yet decided what class im going to main. I was really hoping for a melee, preferably fencer. But with everything that’s out now, its looking like fencer has no chance getting up to par with other classes. From most of the fencers i have seen, they are all mediocre, at best. This is just me though, maybe i have not seen enough.

I am currently getting to a point where, my nuts are gonna explode if i make another build, invest time on it, and fail again. or should it not live up to the idea i have of it.

It’s so hard to make something not knowing what the game is going to look like in the near end content. should it ever reach that point.

hahahaha. i am really bummed about this gaiz QQ

could anyone suggest something fun to play? that has decent enough party play and damage? preferably a swordy or an archer.

This reminds me of a huge debate about circle resets…

i dont really mind not having a class reset. as long as they show me a glimpse of the future. so i could be sure of the path im taking and not actually waste more time.

Dude, i have 8 characters, and i havent decided yet. I think i am gonnna quit before i found a fun class that matchs to me lol i need a rehab pls!!! HELP MEEEEEEE

hahhaha you need to go out more dude! what classes have you taken?

I feel you, I’m an altaholic, and getting to R7 is part of the thrill for me and it drops off a bit once you get there and finally get to try out the skills.

If you’re looking for an archer, I’d say any QS3 is satisfying if only due to running shot, I personally have a QS3/Wu2/Musket and love it. Fun to just pew pew pew things (and pretty damn decent at snagging WB cubes).

In that same sense, and maybe this might help your melee anxiety, bc god knows I ALWAYS play melee classes (my main was initially a swordie who I was gonna take to shinobi but gave up at Cors1) but they are so incredibly underwhelming in this game (slowly getting better, but obviously still not anywhere up to par), I’m working on a doppel to take to doppel3 (going the typical HL/Barb3/Doppel route, especially since Barbs got some nice buffs). My favorite class in RO was my Agi Knight, and while they might not be mounted, at least you’ll be able to attack really fast with a 2H sword, so that seems to be part of the fun!

qs3 sounds fun. though i might go rogue c2 with it for sneak attack 10.
and hey! you can always mount your doppel now with the penguin :))

haha true, sadly can’t attack off the back of it (though honesetly I wish we had more, uh, cool looking mounts to be frank. Loved the peco pecos in RO (and the armored and grand ones) wish we had mounts that looked a little more fierce).

I feel this. I honestly can’t level up another char once I got my 5th one to 100+ I decided I wasn’t going to start any new classes for a very long time.

we all need like a group therapy session for this. ALTAHOLICS ANONYMOUS lol

They cannot implement “circle” resets or job resets. If they do, this game is dead. The only reason why you’re all still here is because you keep making new Alts to find the “right” build.

If you didn’t have this goal in this game, you wouldn’t be playing. There’s absolutely nothing else to do when you hit level 280 because the only pve end-game content there is is Earth Tower and even that has restrictions.

play the underplayed classes such as hunter and the like. XD

The game is dying, not dead. It will be completely dead when you allow every player to constantly reset their class/build to FOTM and they all realize there’s absolutely no content in the game to do after you reach 280 and log in once a day to do ET.

Do you really want to see 5 plague doctors vs 5 plague doctors in every single Battle League match?

Well, i feel like its a double edged sword really. they need to find a middle ground.

Giving class resets = kills of end game content resulting to more players quitting

Giving a very punishing experimentation process = kills of players by sheer exhaustion of making a new character.

cause its not like youd know right off the bat that, what youre currently making now is something youd stick to. you’d have to reach at least rank 6 or rank 5 to know whether or not. and that takes a casual player, how long? a week or 2? lol

Yahhh… I know how you feel, I have a PD full support, healing idiots like there’s no tomorrow, didn’t die even get pounded in the battlebe…d cough battlefield, bored as f*ck

A pyro linker getting to FF casting spells at almost melee range, fun but lackluster and getting bored

and newly made sapper having a good time atm

and adding oil to the fire IMC didn’t give us any stat/skill reset potions even with major stat and skill changes, so uncool and unprofessional.

Even with the update I still dont see any improvement with the player base, token prices are !@#$%^&

Same goes with other stuff which they add and that change in spawn of some monsters.

All I did was rush 200 dgn, do mercenary post and log-out, if got spare time or nothing else to do, I play my sapper.

Experimenting in this game is total bs, you just cant, IMC wants us to join the tree of re-roll club :sparkles:
