There are certain levels where the exp you need tro progress is reseted…

it’s much easier to see visually:
this is the XP required per level. notice how at certain points it -literally- resets to a much lower level. these breaks roughly coincide with gaining new Ranks as well.
these are considered good times to hit dungeons and/or burn exp cards, because of the rapid progress gained.
