What is the point of Nevellet Quarry?

I’ve run through the entire first floor and i’ve found not even one quest. Is the point of that place just to grind monsters, or am i missing something here? Because dedicating an entire area to just grinding monsters kind of seems like a waste of an entire dungeon, especially since the monsters in the monestary, close to the quarry location suddenly jump up to level 45. It almost feels like the Quarry should be there to prepare you for that area. Can anyone explain, please?

Nevellet Quarry is one of those dungeons with weird gimmicks here and there. I usually call places like those “puzzle dungeons” as there is usually a puzzle of some sort to be solved.

I haven’t even come close to figuring out what is the puzzle on the first floor, but the second floor has some hidden rooms with minigames inside.

These puzzle dungeons are just there for some random fun and you can grind there as well, so if you feel like wasting time, consider checking out those places.

If you would rather look for more quests, buy a Klaipeda Warp Scroll and do the questline there.

I appreciate your shift reply, on the off chance that we might be playing on the same server, is it okay if i add you as a friend if i have more questions? I’m playing on Klaipeda until i get transferred to Fedimian.

Not sure what 1f is about yet (aside from glowing mobs and lanterns but I’ve no idea what to do with them) but 2f is easier to pick up on.

Now, I’m not sure of the specifics, but the idea is that you kill mobs until you see something like “The left door to the secret area is open” or whatever. That room will have a torch in it-- light it. There will also be a portal in it that returns you to the central door. Repeat until the right door opens-- light the torch in the right room. This will allow the central door to open.

The central door has an event chest in the back (I’ve only gotten silver so far and “It’s empty” even if I’m the only one there). There is a collection in the room too in the eastern corner.

After some time you will get another message saying something like “The portal to the secret spawn area is open”-- take the right cart back to the previous section of 2f. In the top-center room of that first section will be a portal. Take it.

There are a few mini games to do here but I’ve only seen two so far. One says something like “defeat the yellow spirits”- it’s just a game of pac-man basically. Run around and collect the little yellow orbs on the ground. If you get hit by the small blue orbs you get frozen, and if you get hit by the big slow orbs it resets and you fail but you can try again. The +3 move speed from the token keeps you at the same speed as the blue orbs so you should be able to run around collecting all the yellow ones easily.

The other mini game I’ve seen is a central fire and 4 summoning stones in each corner of the room. The message says something about luring and purifying I think. On either side of the room is a purifying circle. Mobs spawn from the corners and wander toward the fire in the center where they get burnt up. All you have to do for this one is hit an enemy and have them chase you, and make them run over the purifying circle. They instantly die and your count goes up one; after purifying 12 spirits the mini-game is complete.

After your mini-game is done the room becomes clear and a red portal will be at the end of the room. Take that to the secret spawn area.

THIS is why you do the dungeon lol Massive amounts of mobs, maybe 1-4 other players (or zero as I had for several hours), and easy EXP. The mobs are lvl44 I believe, or close to there, but because they squish easily you get a ton more EXP in the long run compared to all those people sitting at the Tenet Church 2f spawn location. This place makes Tenet look like a huge pile of… yeah.

Once almost all of the mobs are cleared out of the room they will respawn, densely. I’ve been kicked out of the room a couple times so I’m not sure if there is a catch, but, other times I’ve been in it for hours. I try to stay away from the SE side of the room now because I think it may be what teleports me out, but I’m not sure. It may just be the room is closed and it vacates everyone from it. Not too sure tbh.

That sounds really interesting, i guess i was looking at this at too much of a face value. And i honestly may sound stupid if i say this, but i didn’t think Tree of Savior was a grind game. Not that i mind that much, but i was mislead by the bountiful quests and exp cards to help me level. Never thought that i had to grind, so much so that i thought that the dungeon was broken.

lol no worries, there are a few dungeons like this throughout the game so far, like Kiyoshiro mentioned. Puzzle dungeons is fitting. Basically they are side dungeons that have little puzzles for you to solve, but often no quests directly associated with them. The most well known I believe so far would have the be the fallen legwyn residence, which has a chest that can give you an armband and (previously) some special charms to attach to equipment for extra effects. The special spawn there had mobs that all explode into money so you can make a small fortune there if you (and everyone participating in the dungeon) complete the hidden objectives.

Up through lvl100ish though you should be able to quest all the way though, as he said just head to Klaipeda and you’ll have another entire quest chain from 1-100 there too you can do. Many of the rewards are repeated even for fairness between the starting cities.

That’s what i’ve started doing now, and it’s working so far. It’s fun to do as well. Thanks for the heads up!

Right. So far so good. How the upper part of 2F works seems pretty consistent to me. Now, when the portal in the first section opens seems pretty arbitrary to me, as I’ve stayed for hours farming in the upper part (with both devices controlled) without the portal opening even once, and I’ve seen the portal opening every three minutes or so in the other channel while I was sitting in its place.

I’ve tried farming in both the main room and the section right before it, to no avail.

Besides, the third minigame consists of taking a minecart through an obstacle track to a goal to open the monster room. It seems to be the most troll-friendly room, as players can destroy the minecart.

And about the collection, do I really have to farm 1F for stuff (the Bones, the Heart and the Bracelet) to finish it? I haven’t needed to get stuff from other maps for collections so far.

And, last question; has anyone figured out 1F’s gimmick yet? What about the Miner Box in the bottom part of the map that you can’t open?

i can’t explored the 3rd minigame room.
is that portal to those minigame room randomly the room you move to?
how to get to one left ?

i can’t complete 100% exploration of this map

Did you find it finally? I’m also looking to explore 100% of the map with no success.

It’s halfly luck, every time the portal in the main part open i will send to one of the rooms, with luck you’re sended to the one you need, now just need to know if there is a order u.u’

I did 100% just now!

How did u get to that third hidden room. not the pac man mini game one . and not the sacrifice 12 guys one . how did u uncover that one secret square room that no one can get telported into??? lol

I think its luck, for me the one lefting is the pac man mini game, I done the sacrifice and wagon mini game

its complete luck. Just finished it. took me two hours but that map is finaly 100% lol

@Darkon

I got a Crook staff from that chest, so I’m assuming there’s more prizes than just those 2.

I think you can only open it once though, but I could be wrong.

I got the boater hat recipe from the 2f chest, which I imagine would fetch a pretty penny (though I’m using mine since it’s super cute). So there are some decent rewards you can get. The two jumping puzzles on the first floor should be the same rewards but I don’t understand the requirements to get those to show up.

@shmahftw
How the ■■■■ did you 100% 2F?

No matter what I tried, I could NOT get to the hidden room in the upper-LEFT, so my map is at like 80%

2F has 3 “hidden rooms”

Room 1: The minecart puzzle
Room 2: (LOWER-LEFT) Only enemies that you can grind
Room 3: (UPPER-LEFT) ???

The gimmick dungeon chests all reset at midnight, you can get a new reward each day.

With a good friend to keep him company and some patience.

it was quite straight forward for us, when I joined him,

The first room cleared was the Pac-Man.
Then the sacrifice by fire.
And lastly the choo-choo train…

Kinda went in a smooth sequence for us…

Remember, ALL PRAISE RNGESUS!!!

In all seriousness, it’s 33.33% each. Good luck.

Ima lady ^^ but thats alright. haha but I can tell you that this Video :

Helped me alot just because I watched him take that portal at the front of 2f and pop up right in the impossible room first try. We tried for almost 2 hours before getting all 3 . Be patient ^^
