So now that PVP will be available by next patch, I was wondering what is the best one-hand spear weapon to be used in PVP.
Brandish
Maga Spear
Firnas

Edit: Meaning very few if any extra effects will come through. Gems neither. Besically you come in with Brandish, you get equipped with Standard Spear.
Probably Maga Spear for the medium type damage increase? Since players are considered medium type I believe.
I don’t think size-type damage bonuses work in PvP.
I’d still say Maga Spear because crit rate trumps AoE attack ratio in PvP. In PvE you could make arguments for either one, but Brandish is generally more expensive. Edit: Actually I suppose it also depends on if you plan on doing much boss hunting. There are more medium-sized than large-sized mobs but the large-size bonus also applies to XL (boss) sized enemies AFAIK.
Will never understand why people ask questions like this.
One gives you nothing but damage to plant monsters.
One gives you some crit and a little evasion. Both pretty useless with the massive crit resist.
One gives you 109 block pen and physical damage.
So clearly you should use:
Firnas for PvP. Since you do more plant damage and players are potatoes in this game.
Maga when fighting large and small mobs
Brandish when afking in town to look cool.
Seriously? Can people not theory craft basic math?

You don’t have to worry about gear for Battle League. But I think it’s still a good idea for wars between guilds and the hopeful, eventual, reimagining of War of Emperium.
