What is the best "all rounder" class/build combination?

Hi, i tried to find any information about it but couldn´t find any, so maybe you guys can help me.

I am looking for the best “all rounder” class / build. The basic class doesn´t realy matter since all were fun to me. But i can´t figure out what to play.

So what would be the best class where i can enjoy to pve with a party and farm solo but will also be viable in pvp.

Thanks in advance I am realy curious.

I think every party likes having a healer, so any cleric is usually a good choice. IMHO.

Thanks for your reply. But how good are they with solo farming/leveling?

I know you should always look for a party but sometimes you just have to do things solo.

They are easy to solo, just don’t go full support, make a mix.

If you want to go solo, take Chaplain or Monk.

I’m not sure if this build is good because i usually go for what i think is fun rather than power, but here it goes:

I made this build a few days ago just to have some fun playing Cleric, it might suit you i guess.

I like the class choice but kind of disagree with skill choice.

Getting Krivis C3 without Melstis/Daino sounds wrong for me. Zaibas falls of hard late game just as zalciai, so 1 and 3 levels in them accordingly should be enough. I’d rather max aukuras and melstis for their utility uses and put extra points in Daino in order for it to be viable late game.

Also 4 points in Carve Vakarine is a good idea if you are not going to play solo only (or I might misunderstand how this skill works, but I think it warps number of players equal to it’s level, so if used with monster gem/divine might it can warp 5 of your party members.

Talking about Oracle and PD skills, it’s hard for me to imagine how lvl affecting skills can be used, so I don’t think 5 points in change worth it, but I have a feeling it might have interesting synergy with “math” kabbalist skills.

Overall it’s a really interesting build, though I’d like to have cleric2 in a party for occasional divine might use (effectively adding 1 level to every buffing skill/powerful C3 skill like Running Shot).

Clerics with 1:1 STR, INT - 1:2 INT, SPR, were quite popular during the ICBT for playing solo… though, i can’t really tell if they were successfull.
My recommendation would be go for some type of DEX or STR Swordsman class, as a swordsman you passively have a lot of health to survive, and a lot of damage in either auto attacks if you go strenght, or abilities if you choose to go for DEX, but hybrid builds would also work. I would say swordsman is the perfect first class to play as.
Since most people still ■■■■ up their first character, at least the swordsman can still work after making mistakes in the build or path.

Thanks for the tips. Like i said, i usually go for fun rather than power or optimization, but if i ever create a “serious” cleric i’ll keep all of that in mind.

I got Change because sounds fun to switch things around and by having a skill that suddenly changes one monster into another, i might be able to mess with people’s heads if they don’t see me coming xD

I spent only one point on Carve Vakarine because i play solo most of the time like you’ve said yourself. I join parties occasionally on events or maps that requires you to be part of a group.

But tell me, Zaibas is really that bad? I was hoping to blow stuff up with it.

In the last CBT, this was my build…

My stat was mostly full INT, but I added SPR more later to increase Sadhu OoB damage. It was roughly 5:1 INT,SPR in the end.

I had no issues soloing whatsoever. As a dps healer type, my heals were good enough to fill the healing role in dungeon parties. Boss soloing was easy. I didn’t have long MP regen issues despite having only having 30-40 SPR. Zalciai was good for that extra party crit boost, adding more overall dps. When Zaibas was on cd, I would use OoB attacks (700+ dmg/hit), finishing off with ABE (3k+ dmg), as Zaibas was coming off cd. Once I got to Druid, I had Carnivory added to my spell rotation. The damage was great, but I was a little disappointed to find that it was ineffective against flyers. If I had to redo things, I would have liked additional Safety Wall and even higher Sadhu skills instead.

Compared to my sister’s Doppelsoeldner build, I spent most of my time killing stuff vs sitting to regen while leveling. It was also nice to walk up to groups outside dungeons waiting for a healer to join their parties. Being able to crush a boss and provide heals to the party felt pretty rewarding. My advice would be to look at the skill tree and envision what type of character you want and go for it. Half the fun is finding out if your build turns out the way you envisioned it.

It’ll hit 14 single hits no matter what (with attribute it will just use 14 stacks faster), so against big packs of monsters it’s pretty weak (fixed damage).
Though it has pretty good scaling with INT, so lvl 1 will add some burst. I personally won’t max it, because in late game damage will be insignificant, and all other Krivis skills are great in late game. Yet I think Krivis needs slight buffs because it loses to a priest quite hard in overall utility. And that 48 magic ampl attribute sounds ridiculously bad.

I did increase the Zaibas and other spell attributes as well, but not sure if all the Silver spent was actually worth the additional boost. And yeah, Krivis loses out to Priest on buff variety.

P.S. I do believe increasing your Plate Armor attributes is worth it though. Physical damage taken from mobs was minimal. I didn’t go Cloth Armor type for the extra INT. Having that increased DEF proved to be more useful.

Yeah, Plate armor is the best right now.

Talking about attributes, silver spent is always useful at a long run. There are very few better ways to spend those money)

After what you said, i’m considering drop Krivis C3 for Dievdirby C2 and get Carve Owl and Carve World Tree to help me out.

I was actually going for Krivis C3 just to get some extra levels on Zaibas but since it’s not gonna make a huge difference anyways, getting some extra skills might be fun.

I had my heal attributes at around 50 and my spells at around 65. I know the heals saw a nice overall increase, but not sure if getting my spells beyond 65 would have been worth it. I guess if I had the Silver to do it, then I would do it regardless.

Yeah, lvl 50 attribute is sort of soft cap. You usually level skill till level 50, and then wait until it’s cost will be insignificant comparing to your income.

Thanks for all these replies.

I found a swordman build i think is pretty interesting class-wise.

I am not sure about the skills yet but i think i will go for this class choices. Since my friends i will start with are priest and mage this should be a good addition.

Also PVP and solo PVE wise it should be satisfying.

What are your thoughts about it?

Not sure about skills but it’s probably the most classic dragoon build)

And as every classic build it works in almost every cituation)
