rng = random number generator = the way programs and computer generate a ‘random’ result, for example the item you get from a boss cube is randomly chosen so its rng.
getting imc’d is feeling screwed over by decisions and elements introduced by this company, for example you might be hyped to try alche c3 to have an homunculus so you level a new char to 330 but then you learn that the ingredients for it are not available, so you got Imc’d.

RNG is when you open the new Halloween boxes and you don’t get a BB and that’s cool because it’s RNG and it’s a long event.
IMC is when you get a Blue Dumaro Claw from the box and you wonder why the ■■■■ is there an item that is completely and utterly useless in those boxes and you realize you’re hoping for talts the next time you open one because at least talts are worth 5k.
