current im lv140 with str 301 and dex 9… yes im full str up to now. however i come to sense that even with finestra lv15. my crit seems not doing that much as expected. would appreciate if any1 could input on this ??
I highly prefer a chance to deal a huge amount of damage on crits, than doing low dmg everytime i crit, i think around 50~70 Dex is enoght.
Since hoplite have long CD u need some decent base damage on AA
Maybe the enemy just have high critical resistance? Or maybe too tough?
Or do you mean you are doing crits quite rarely than expected?

That depends how much % you want your crit rate to be at.
The crit rate formula is : (Critical Rate - Target Critical Resistance) * 42 / Your level
In other words, the higher your level is, the lower your crit chance is.
Generally, monsters could have crap critical resistance even at level 280 (I’ve seen some with only 20 crit resist), but there are those with 100+ crit resistance as well.
If you have 300 crit rate, you will have 45% crit rate on monsters with 0 crit resistance at level 280.
So… You do the math

Remember that you’d need 1500 crit more than the enemy’s crit resist to crit 100% of the time (which if I recall correctly, the game caps your crit percentage lower than that anyways) at max level.
That’s a LOT of points invested to crit 100% of the time. It’s not worth it. Realistically, if you can crit 1/3 of the time, you’re sitting at a good spot. This would require a crit rate of 500 higher than the enemy’s crit resist.
Let’s say the average enemy has 150 crit resist. That would put the necessary crit required to reach 33% crit rate to 650. You get 150 from finestra. Now calculate how much you will get from gems and gear. The remainder will have to come from dex.
This is the easiest way to look at things. Find your target crit percentage and then go from there.

i notice this too i try to friendly duel a player all my attack are dodge even with 150 finestra with 250 str and 30 dex so tell me is crit cannot be dodge or they will not,

Finestra gives 150 Crit, it doesn’t give any accuracy. Your accuracy comes from DEX + equipment + (your level but that cancels out mostly since the enemy gets same evasion per level as well).
So yeah you miss because your accuracy is low, not because of your critical rate. This game isn’t like RO where crits never miss.
