What is better than Suncus Maul? [Monk]

As a monk, currently using Suncus Maul with Karacha Dagger. What is the next weapon that I should aim for? Couldn’t find this answer.

Slightly higher ATK and has crit rate+crit damage bonus.

461 more damage to plate armor targets is no joke. It’s stronger than Suncus Maul and Magas Mace when it comes to plate armor targets. But it’s fairly subpar against other armor types.

I’m assuming this would be decent for Priest C3 Monks, and it’s also a level 220 weapon and boasts the best ATK among the other maces. Not sure where this drops though, I’m assuming it’s either in Saalus Convent or a level 220+ world boss.

Unless you are doing mostly auto attacks I would pick Magas Sword, but since you would be spamming Double Punch then Suncus Maul is the best choice, I tried Magas mace and compared to Suncus Maul I get better damage with Suncus thanks to the +2 to Monk Skills - around 300 -400 more damage with double Punch

I think weapon for monk is rather limited, Catacomb blade and Magas mace particularly look feasible, but anyone have more feedback on these 2 items?

Ya indeed the 461 more damage on place look delicious. but i doubt there are many plate mobs. PVP? maybe?

The fact is suncus add 2 to all monk skill is pretty irreplaceable. But i just think monk need an orange or purple weapon.

All Monk should spam double punch i assume. Hard to find 1 which is not spamning it.

Tried the Magas Mace… its Meh, not worth the price. Suncus Maul still out performs it (for monks) easier to upgrade too not to mention cheaper to buff from squires

21 Crit rate can be achieved by a lv5 green gem, crit attack: 105 at Lv 170 is also meh, when monster have HP of 50k-70k and most monsters are Leather/Cloth Type, you would be better off with the Magas Sword

A bit off-topic but is it worth changing my arde dagger to karacha? Is the damage noticeable or should i just stick with suncus+arde?

if you want to replace arde …
better switch it with venom …

The 2% Poison effect from Venom won’t trigger unless you auto attack using the dagger

I think Karacha with +Dex is better for monk. The dex give additional crit and the attach on medium mob + really helpful. Monk really dont need the CON

i am using Suncus Maul + Karacha dagger (both slotted with green gems). To answer Dino, yes, alot of different vs SM+AD
