What is a good level of gem to put into five Hammer as a beginner?

I made 5xlvl3 gems(red), if i mule them over to another char i could make them lvl4. Should i just put them in or somehow farm and get them higher Level?

Just level as fast as you can. Then make a good char for lvl145 dungeon farming. Five hammer with 5x lvl6 red gems gives 600average damage, which is equal to lvl220 corona rod with 2 lvl6 gems. Levelling from 1-190 is easy enough with any weapon, cafrisun set and Pardoner buffs(Sacramenti and Bless), just du Sia missions and dungeons 130 and 145, and 190. 160-175 not worth time. About quests - start doing them from demon prison (you need to be lvl 141 to start them, it will automatically appear A place unreachable).

If you have a good Lv 260+ you can farm Lv 3 gems in the Kalejimas dungeon. It is easy to reach Lv 5 or 6 gems.

I dont think that i can get 5xlvl6 gems, my Point is about wasting lvl4s when getting them to 5would be much better. i have one at 4now and 4at3:D

I was doing quests, i kinda enjoy it even so thats great, gonna quest the Tower now getting to 130. i tried to q for 115 dungeon which Drops nice stuff too but lol 1in Queue

PS: i have to let an Alchemist roast them, no downside on doing that right? Gonna be hard to afford all the small stuff and rerolls on cubes

IMHO at least level 5 gems for five hammer…

I run with a 5 x 5* Five Hammer and I’d say that is the absolute minimum for the investment you’re going to make, as a Five Hammer has a really bad average damage due to the fluctuation of low base damage+ low minimum attack value and low base damage + high maximum attack.

In most cases, when you need high damage it fails you, and if your critrate is low, you often get only mediocre crits which are a lot lower in damage than your maximum possible damage.

Also, at the point when you really need a better weapon (around lvl 280+), it’s not so far until you reach the point to do your Practonium quest anyway, and if you’re lucky to get your Pract fast enough, 5* gems are all you need and you’d be better off investing your time into making two 7* gems for your next weapon which will stick with you most likely until lvl 450+ if you’re willing to transcend to stage 4+.

How do i afford it? I didnt buy stuff from market just Play the game, buy buffs, repair my armor at the blacksmith and i have like 60k on each char which is what i Need to reroll the cubes to maybe get an arde dagger eventually.

I cannot remove and upgrade the gems later right?

You can, but the gems will lose a * each times you remove them. A low* gem removed isn’t that bad, though.

Btw, I’d not reroll the cubes, it’s a pain in the ass. Rather save the silver and buy one Arde Dagger from the market as they are cheap (around 700k-1m only); if you run the dungeon 3 times a day, you’d need approximately a week or so to get the silver to buy the dagger from the market…
Btw, everytime you get Talt from the cubes, you can just sell them on the market for somewhere around 4-7k each(depending on the market and your server). If you have multiple chars to farm the dungeon, you’ll have the money even faster…

Depends on use.
For noob leveling just put lv3. Later you can upgrade to better gems.

Thx for that. i just made the math ist 5%drop, 700k item and 30k per reoll. 20*30k is 600k…but as always in my life rng isnt working out^^

well, Bernoulli isn’t with everyone, but he taught us that everytime you roll you have the same 5% chance, since coincidence doesn’t have a memory…

You can roll a million times without getting the dagger or roll a million times and get a million daggers xD

RNG doesn’t work exactly like that, though, and you can enhance your chances by stacking cubes before opening them (50-100 cubes per batch e.g.). That way the chances to actually get something useful are rising drastically in contrast of opening only 1-3 at a time.

I know about Gamblers fallacy.
Why would stacking cubes help? It is still 1draw with putting back the “Lotto balls” after the draw every time so every time 5%as u said and not increasing (and yet it is still working out usually^^).

This is news to me. Can you elaborate on how stacking cubes please The RNGodess?

Well, every RNG is coded differently, but there is always some algorythm that creates the number, which is different from true coincidence, e.g. when rolling a die.
If you know how the RNG works, you can predict how to increase your chances this way.

In general, from my RNG experiences in other games, it was always possible to tweak your chances by e.g. being the only one in the channel when opening (if every channel/city has its own RNG) and stacking a certain amount of items, because sometimes the RNG programming is simple and creates random numbers by adding or substracting numbers, thus making a number larger or smaller by a certain degree [ I believe it’s way less stress for the server than to calculate new random numbers for everyone at every time] and then resetting at a certain threshold.

That way, you’d have more chances to get what you want if you stack items before opening them.
However, you’d have to countercheck first (e.g. from some recent videos) if the RNG is working like this in TOS.

  1. Go to Dina Farm
  2. Run around pick up junk
  3. Most of the people are AFK there so you will get a chance at monster gems, Instant dungeon clear, etc.

I know some people like to scavenging there.

It might not be the most efficient way but it’s prob the easiest/ / lazy way to level up gems.

What @Nicola said works if your really hard off or broke. I have been surprised by the gem prices lately, I got a T7 yesterday for 4.5million, assuming you could get monster gems for 190-200k each for the entire 1-7 it would still take over 6million to make one, I guess the cancer necro/sorcs at DP2 are starting to serve a purpose.

My Chrono-Lock (Cancerlock) make about 3-5 lv5 gems and 600k per hour there. But I didn’t enjoy it; people were grieving because they cannot quest there. Then there are warlock vs. warlock killing each other orbs. Cancerous as hell.

ya the warlocks are even worse then the necros and sorcs, you dont get a chance to ks, mobs are dead before they can even land

Wizard class is basically the cancer of this game:

The classes that should deal damage can’t because of high mdef and low base damage of skills, the support Wizards cause everyone to lose a lot of potential buff slots (and are not so useful aside from Linker and Chronomancer, which will be even harder later on because of Quicken and Joint Penalty scrolls) and the afk farmer Necros/Sorcerers + the map monopolizing Warlocks make it hard for every player to earn some decent silver because they’re spread across every lucrative map and are basically bots supported/created by the game engine/system/mechanics.
