What I don't like about swordsman in party

ok, so I’m doing good…

are you serious, its not about understanding tanks, its about understanding their own class xD

my wugu allow me to play “posion and run” style so in fact I’m far away form bosses (sometimes i get hit ofc, mostly because I’m close for atack ) also they funiest part stars when my attack power taunt boss couse I’m the strongest in the team and its about “i will be run in the circle and you attack it” xD

Yes that’s why this thread is based on his own experience with bad tanks, so I also gave mine about mindless dps players(which apparently could be the case based on what he said),
WHY? don’t you see that squishy classes can’t pass the front mobs and dive to the center?
it’s all about the player behind it really

getting into a middle of a mob and taunting them into a corner is pretty basic, the rest goes to how other people to their job

seeing how OP complains means that his dps team dived along together with the tank or the tank pulled the mobs to them directly instead of going to a corner or keeping position/aggro

Depends on the swordsman really. I don’t play Pelt nor that I wanted to but I really love putting myself in front a crap load of mobs, tanking their hits, while everyone at the back spam everything till my craptop goes bluescreen. But of course this depends on my party. In dungeon, I’d prefer to do a max pull then goes back to my team so that they can clear the wave.

Then again, sometimes wizards or clerics often rushed to the middle of the mobs instead of swordsman and blast everything to oblivion. Whichever works honestly.

wtf? how is that the case when I clearly state that I don’t dive with them.

I said dps players, not you in particular, could be your dps team hence why you’re saying what I quoted

I actually very rarely use my taunt. I haven’t as of now in like…a month. Dunno about the newer mission stuff, but I’ve yet to have a truly terrible experience.

well then I gues you’re good at luring

Check this vid. This isn’t perfect (though the party lineup is a bit advantaged) but I like it because you can sort of see some stuff about how agro works

Rode runs ahead to take agro

0:15 - you can see the Elets at the far end being agro’d but they don’t follow because of the Maximum Provocation limit.

0:26 - you can see some of the Elets aren’t even moving. There’s one right beside the Necromancer but it doesn’t attack the Necro or anyone else. This is because the Necro did not attack the Elet, so its attention is still with the Rode. It’s not going to attack the until the Rode’s Provocation limit gets freed up or if someone else hits it.

Also, those ranged monsters seem to walk up to melee range if you pull them far enough

Swordsman im sorry for your fate

yep that would a nice party but instead I get a party with wizards diving with the tank leaving me behind and swordsman just blocking in the middle xD
