What has more DPS PVP potential Dragoon or Fencer?

I’m looking into making a pvp orientated dragoon or fencer. But I don’t know how to go into making the build well, I’m curious about what classes I should pick along the way to do the highest DPS.

Can anyone who’s had experience with dragoon or fencer pvp post their builds and offer advice?

I’m 250 dragoon…

both class is great for pvp if going the right way…

the ways right now are :.

SW3 > Cataparcht3 > Dragoon. = Speed, CC, damage.
(dragoon doesn’t help in pvp it’s only cataparcht and sw that play the part).

SW3>Rode2>Fencer2. = now this is a great build for pvp ive seen someone rocking with this build. he had high CON and STR, and medium DEX…
and still his evasion was sky high.
the CC chain into dmg skills have high synergy.

another way is SW3>Rode(?)>Corsair>Fencer2.

dragoon doesn’t bring so much, fencer provide lot more tools.
however dragoon can highly invest in CON.
while fencer most likely will invest in DEX.

I don’t suggest to make pvp builds untill the open battle league. as there will not be a way for you to level up in PVE without a premade party.

What’s a good stat build for the PVP Sw3 Cata3 Dragoon? I’m going that same route but unsure of the stats.

ps It’s an alt, so I don’t intend to party grind it to 280 anytime soon.

A good stats build for PVP for cataparcht assuming you’re 200-220

stats should look like

50con, 100dex, rest STR

can add bit more con if you don’t feel confidence of staying alive.
dex is for accuracy, and decent crit rate.
but please note most accuracy will come from GLOVE. so higher level glove the better.

STR should be the main stat. more of your things scale with STR (bleeding
etc)…

CON is second, since you get % health from plate mastery.

DEX is last and need more testing regarding pvp, magic hurt, archer evasion is too high but not enough. so i think 0 dex + restrain can also work. but need to test it.

No Cataphract no Corsair = bad pvp build.
If enemy has plague doctor you will be kited to death because stuns don’t work
Corsair’s iron hook bypasses plague doctor’s bloodletting

What skills/abilities scales with STR? I’m having second thoughts in putting more str in my Cata.

Plate mastery gives a flat 34hp each Level, not %

Are u so sure about plate mastery?

Pretty much 34 x 100 = 3400 Hp for millions of Silvers :frowning:

Ay, I am. Although it sounds like something unworthy its still a huge chunk of bonus hp if you are no “real” tank.
75 dodge rate sounds much stronger but wont help against magic nor archer type enemies,
and cloth protects against magic but no physical damage at all, so 3400hp is in general the strongest survival bonus in my eyes, as long as you are attacked by multiple different damage sources.

plate mastery give % health for each piece you wear…

and to that guy that said 34x100…

first plate mastery is up to lv50.

second that’s not the end value you get… much higher…

so like i said to begin with CON will scale with plate mastery.

“When equipped with 3 or more pieces of [Plate] armor, increases your maximum HP and physical damage taken is decreased by 5%.
When equipped with 4 [Plate] armor pieces, your maximum stamina increases and physical damage taken is decreased by an additional 10%.”

This is the same i noticed when comparing a swordsman class in plate with higher level and con with a wizard class pretty low level in plate and without additional con. Its a flat bonus of 34hp per mastery Level. Wouldnt make much sense for 1 of 3 masteries to scale with stats and player level whereas the other both were only flat amounts.

Also its pretty wasy to test as every Charakter would recieve either said 34hp or a different value right from the start

this doesn’t even make sense that you get flat bonus.
maybe you get flat health bonus per mastery level.
but the OVERALL PICTURE is that you get %from the mastery … READ.
it doesn’t say BY LEVEL of mastery you get %. it say if wear 4 pieces.

3 piece plate: You get 5% physical damage reduction once, no matter the level. You get 34hp per level.
4 piece plate: you get an additional 10% physical damage reduction, again no matter the level, and bonus stamina equal to level/3

learn to read the skill description… go ingame and try yourself.
clearly give and say 5% HEALTH.

my source is lv50 plate mastery which i use right now. ._.

without 4 piece of plate, and lv50 mastery i have 22559 health.

with 0 piece of plate and lv50 mastery i have 19822 health.

with 5% you will get 20813. I got more.
so final is plate mastery bonus + 5% from wearing 3 or more pieces.

so my plate mastery is maxed and i don’t see your 3400hp in general. so let’s stop the bullshit here.

18590 - 17366 = 1224 = 34 * 36 which is my mastery level on swordsman class
4337 - 4167 = 170 = 34 * 5 wizard class
2024 - 1990 = 34 * 1 archer class
dont have cleric to test, but 3/4 proven to the point

im pretty sure you miss, that plate equipment in most cases has its inherent hp bonus
