What happened in Klaipeda server in a nutshell. Yes, we need massive compensation

  1. Reddit and forum post days before the launch about “Which server to pick?”

  2. Reddit and forum post showing a certain poll made on a Brazilian TOS group going to Orsha server.

  3. Players started to get discouraged going to Orsha, so a lot got dumped in Klaipeda.

  4. (Problems naming a server based on town names) Klaipeda is a more popular town than Orsha. The server name coincidentally being also the dominant town name added to the amount of players going in again. Added the fact that people were expecting the old server names confused people as well.

  5. Players who decided early that they’re going to Klaipeda started to recruit friends to go there as well.

  6. This is important. IMC never realized the above 5 and also didn’t anticipate the sudden spike of incoming players.

  7. The result of #6 was the grave mistake of not opening all current 4 servers on March 29, 2 AM EDT. People also started claiming founders at this point. They also made the mistake of thinking that dividing the players early will affect the game way more than making the game unplayable for the most part at the start.

  8. Both Orsha and Klaipeda were overwhelmed, but problems were more graved on Klaipeda side as times goes on.

  9. This point ties this all together. This game was advertised as pre-release instead of beta. A lot of CBT problems still lingers so people were baited.

P.S. I don’t blame Brazilians for being dodged nor do I blame players for picking wrongly. We’re not responsible for those things. This is not meant to complain about anything at all really so don’t get mad. I maybe wrong about few things also. Tbh, people bought the game as pre-release not as 30 days of being pissed at a game of constant server and game issues. This ain’t alpha nor beta. I don’t know bout y’all, but I haven’t played any MMORPG that asked for payment on beta so clearly they intended this as pre-release.

TEE PEE as compensation :^)

We get 5 dungeon reset scrolls on Klapeid server thats pretty good. I think thats enough if they manage to get rid of commander error on the next patch.

I didn’t even see, my bad. I mean we have to look over our shoulders on problems for the next remaining days til official release. Then, we’re still not sure if the problem will get worse or better given there will be new players and bots.

You forgot to add at the beginning, “1) IMC announced a 3 month founder server to spread out the influx of players and determine server stability.”, “2) Players complained until it was changed, unaware of the consequences”

  1. IMC decided to launch on March 29th, despite not being ready it seems. They could have pushed the F2P launch and early access launch back if they needed to. They wanted the server’s to be strained and tested.

they launched because they already announced and got everyone hype
in my experience from dealing with clients/customers.

i learned that you never hype them then not give them what they want, it will lead to bad reviews and low return rates

if imc kept themselves shut and prepared through late march and all of april until say, may then did the 1 month EA from may to june, they would have completed thier 3 month pipeline more smoothly

instead they announced the ridiculous 3 month beta to start at mach - june and got everyone hyped, rage and salt ensued then they had to immediately roll out the 1 month plan we have now to appease the masses leaving themselves vulnerable to the incessant thrusting of the international community

basically, IMC never got the chance to lube up.

Boo your a ■■■■■■, its IMCs fault stop sucking nut sauce

European and SE Asian communities had to first decide which of the two NA (read: US East) servers they would join, and IMC didn’t even think to facilitate this until after launch, when it was too late (thanks in no small part to founders packs being server-specific rather than account-wide).

So even if they don’t want to be on Klaipeda, they can’t leave.

And nowhere in their “compromise” did they ever consider a 1-4 week beta period, with a wipe at the end, to test any of the issues that may arise at launch.

They announce a fully functional head start period for the official release, when it’s nowhere near polished enough, and IMC not even close to experienced enough, for a smooth launch.

Terrible management and marketing set themselves up for spectacular failure.

I don’t disagree with most of your points and it’s true some things didn’t pan out as good as they could have taken place. However, I don’t recall the game being advertised as a pre-release (aka full release). I remember it was advertised as early access and even if it were to be launched as open beta, it’s still technically a beta. Even if a game goes into full release, it still can have its issues, as demonstrated by other games.
