This is a dps/pve based build, and I haven’t played in a long while. I started a new character for this build, although I previously had the same build before. There seems to be a lot of new items since last I played. Should I go plate or cloth? What weapon should i am for end game and dagger or shield? Also, which bracelets and necklace should i go for endgame? Thanks for any help!
Only one answer seems safe here, go for an Agny Necklace without a doubt. Get it once you hit PD (aka R7).
The rest would be supremely dependent on your playstyle and your willingness to fund the character’s gear. General preference on what to focus on (P or M Def), unless you’re going full Trans Stage 10 and 8x Lv10 Nuaele Cards, you’re gonna have to choose or have two headgear enchant sets for it. Dagger/Shield plays into the preference versus needs game as well.
I want to be able to focus on damage output. I’ll fund it to the best of my ability. When I played before I believe a catacombs club was one of the best weapons for me to use. I am not so sure now. I suppose since most of my dps comes from magic attack a rod would be significantly better.
Hmm, you’ll notice now that everyone (myself included) is donning a Five Hammer (upgrade irrelevant) with 5 slots open filled with Lv5/6/7 Red Gems (roasted). Lv6 being the average you’ll see. Red Gems on main-hand weapons increase Max Attack (this includes magic).
This is a good weapon until you hit Lv317+, where you’d get a chance at a Practonium, which you can then use to create either a Windia Rod or a Vienarasis Mace. Most people go for the Mace as it’s easy to trade out once you’re done with it (it has a lot of INT and magic attack). Don’t bother upgrading or transcending it, just put the mandatory Lv6 or higher Red Gem in it. If you don’t intend on going for Heart of Glory (rod / needs 2 pcs Practonium), then go for a Windia Rod and upgrade it to +5 at the earliest, then socket Lv6+ Blue Gems and Transcend it to Stage 3+ as soon as possible.
Offhand is purely preference. Most people I see now have the Pajoritas Dagger equipped (can go up to 2 slots but 1 slot is fine since’ you’re using Magic for DPS).
