I have been cycling through more recent games to expand my experience.
Here’s the most recent list and my feedback.
Nosgoth
A good game, though it’s fallen short due to poor support, lack of advertisement and poor innovation.
The bugs in the game along with all the corners that have been cut.
Ineffective anti-hack solutions.
More and more greed.
Dirty Bomb
Quality work. The equivalent of what Borderlands would be as a modern-realistic FPS.
Some balance issues exist due to character power in large team numbers and team composition becoming more important than skill.
Still, very little RNG involved, just that teamwork itself is a major ‘random factor’ and thus reduces the impact of personal skill. (amount varies on the factors present)
Revelation Online(CN)
Take Blade&Soul and give it GW2’s dodging element.
Very in-depth with a lot of content. (even if it were in English I’d be confused by this game)
Lack of a proper English community, given it follows oldschool mmorpg principles and is slightly grindier than modern mmorpgs. Flying/mobility system is pretty great.
Group/Guild PvP system is arguably okay but in the end falls back on GW2’s clusterfuck of WvW concepts.
Character customisation gets a 9.5/10.
Might ACTUALLY be better than Black Desert for the greater range of customisations, though it does lead to some very out-of-proportion characters. One might argue that this actually allows for more variety.
In terms of quality of design goes, BD will win outright, but Revelation is a decent contender here.
Graphics are well above average but not at BD levels.
Granblue Fantasy
Not by any means new, I decided to try it out anyway.
This game is for those who enjoy the idea of constant upgrading, pretty anime visuals and absolutely amazing VA.
(no decent plot or story, sorry)
Tera (on the new Highwatch server)
The latency was slightly better on this server for foreign countries but by no means good enough for a fluid experience.
Tera itself as a game has not changed. Good combat, poor mechanics, grindfest of a grindfest with fashion elements.
Skyforge
Played for a bit. Not very entertaining.
It’s basically ‘tank and heal the small attacks then dodge big obvious ■■■■ until enemy dies.’.
Also didn’t like how the devs contradicted themselves on the Prestige weekly limit policies even though it didn’t matter in the PvE scene. Felt like a lot of pulled-out-of-back-end nonsense. Quit soon after.
That’s about it for my most recent stuff.
Also went to revisit GunZ2 and Archeblade. They’re still pretty dead.
I looked forward to playing FFXIV but the way I play and the money involved speak against it for now.
Currently trying ; Nothing. Preparing for ToS by looking at classes. Still can’t pick, might end up doing a lot.

. Just tried it yesterday and totally got hooked, but oh boy the missions were brutal
. I had to replay some battles 4-5 times but only got rank B at best
