The future of ToS seems to be a botting challenge. A test server to learn some lua and bot efficiently.
If you look at it even the tos devs, gms or whatever are botting (at least on Fedimian). Maybe for exactly this. And the updates favor the Game of Bots and punish legit players. It’s kind of obvious if one looks at it.

IMC throw thousands of dollars of free TP at the GvG event weekly. That’s a clear indication they got their f-ck you money and then some.
So money ensured I’m sure they’ill just work down the list of issues on the steam reviews till that goes up. Then maintain content patches since there isn’t much competition in the market for RO nostalgia kids.

Possibly VR. Hopefully at least 4K as well. 
If IMC wants there to be a successful future for this game, they will have to do an overhaul of the game client. The game client needs to have more server-side coding and less client-side. Other things includes the following:

IP banning all players who used hook64 in the past and present. They can do this by investigating all +15 or higher weapons to see if it had failed before, but got rolled back. (the fails should be logged even though it got rolled back via channel crash)

Adding a custom chat filter so that players can add their own words that can be filtered such as www or wvvw, etc.

Implementing some kind of anti-hack that will probably not prevent all cheats or bots, but it will deter normal players from using it.

Have a GM go through every popular botting zone daily to perma ip ban the bots on the spot. (they are getting paid to sit behind the computer, might as well do something useful)

Fixing their instance servers so that people stop getting “Do Not Load World” errors or randomly gets kicked out of the instances.
There’s a lot more, but these are the major ones.

You know, I’ve never been mistakenly IP banned before in any MMOs because I’ve never cheated. Also, if I really did get mistakenly IP banned, I’ll just make it public on the forum so they can thoroughly investigate and unban me.
Anybody who is against perma IP ban is just scared because they are doing things that warrants it.

A valid objection against IP bans: Dynamic IPs. Plenty of ISPs don’t issue static IPs to residential users.

If this game ends up like elsword… i guess it’s time to find a different game to play seriously. Elsword is too p2w. Old elsword was good, but then the korean market happened. It’ll happen to this game too. It’s impossible for it to go against the market trends.
