So i’m currently trying to make a PVP build (but good for PVE as well) for the next CBT or OBT and this question came to my mind. Confusion do anything in PVP ? I tried Scout in the last CBT and it was a really fun class but the second main reason to take it (the first being Cloaking of course) was Flu Flu. When i read the skill description i thought it was going to do some crazy ■■■■ in PVP but it actually did nothing, like literally nothing, it doesn’t even deal damage. I was really disappointed with this skill. So to avoid such disappointments better ask first. Btw this is the build http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/p8xlsngp0f/ any suggestion is welcome.
Flu flu is great for luring monsters tho ;D
Maybe there may will different damage calculator as well as stats for PVP later since the game now focus on PVE
Yeah but because the long cooldown you can’t rely on it to lure monsters much often. So it’s not so practical.
I tried confusion/vasshita siddhi in duels but nothing happens
Confusion affect AI, so obviously it has no effect in pvp.
it gives the target an existential crisis that make the player question his existence and if it has low sp it commit sudoku…

a good thing it Could do, is force the targeted player into using random animations (they can be cancelled by moving of course) but they will pause you when they happen and interrupt you…
of course the time or amount should be small so it doesn’t get OP
or every second/tick force player to move in random direction…
In some other games.
Getting “confusion or Chaos”.
Would make you’r keybindings invert randomly each 10 seconds.
Meaning, you pressed up arrow key, but you ran sidewards. 10 Seconds after that the up key made you go bakcwards.
In others, you would lose control over your action.
Spamming skills and moving for x seconds without control.
I’m still sad that there’s no blind … and stuff here.
Ro was fun xD.
Always packed a bunch of paneca to cure myself of nasty stuff in pvp xD.
randomizing keybindings will not work in mouse mode. Even if they make it work with mousemode there is difference in skill targeting between controller/keyboard and mouse. Mouse mode usually doesnt care which direction your character faces when you use skills, while it would greatly impact other control types.
Confusion could make you unable to see where you enemy is (black out your screen and you just see yourself running about). Of course you can aim and try to hit something in that state but in pvp you will be less likely to actually hit, unless you predict enemy movement somehow. I actually experienced this from one of the boss spell effects (in crystal mine, i belive it was Specter Monarch). Though it would be actually called blindness. I had slight hope rogue’s gas bomb would apply this effect but it seems it doesn’t.
So maybe confusion could make you use random spell, not the one you selected to use? That could be disturbing if you select instant cast attack and suddenly you are using spell that has long casting time or a spell that need aiming of the zone instead of automatically being shot at target you have aimed at.
OR
Confusion could make you move to random direction while loosing control of your character for 1-3 seconds every odd second during confusion duration, making you unable to attack at that time. It would be unpredictable and could never happen during confusion time. Or it could keep happening and be more annoying then stun. Well, there’s a gamble involved here.
Ohh i woudl liek that.
Like an ghost vision of the world.
Or drunken vision …
unable to see is darkness status, not confuse. Confuse should work like #9 post. But it’s not work now in ToS
