What armor type (leather, cloth, plate) do you use now? And why?
Plate
It’s just because Leather pieces, with random stats, do not offer a significant bonus vs plate (that is superior in stats and have a better 4/4 mastery bonus) anymore.

Lolopanther Plate which is now worse than 270 blue.
I have a few pieces of Solmiki and am currently aiming to obtain Solmiki Leather, if I weren’t going for Solmiki it would be Plate though.
Leather Mastery is underwhelming which is the only advantage Leather has now with the unidentified armour. Plate has significantly better survivability and similar damage, when new content is released at an increased difficulty and if survivability becomes an issue, Plate will be the best option. Even now having higher survivability means less drain on the party, less necessity of potion usage, and influences how a player will respond, with Plate you can face tank and deal damage without worry in more situations which might even yield higher or equal overall damage.

They have said the truth, I did also realized Plate was superior so before I went 4:3 with solmiki plate:cloth
But rank 9 came and I wanted to go full dps PvE so I am now wearing a full miki leather set… i reckon miki ia still the best provided you wear enough pieces to benefit from the effects…
Mixed solmiki set; cloth body, the rest are plate .I also tried full leather and full plate, mixed worked the best for me.
even though this is the swordsman section of the forum… lol

Woops…In that case I still use Cloth on my Swordsman. Cloth with Block rate.
You block physical attack while having high mdef for magic attacks

PVE: leather with critical rate stat I only can find critical rate +20 on these random stat armors.
PVP: full cloth or full plate
