What About the Scam?

Hiyah’ Everyone.

I was just wondering what can happen if someone try to scam in this game ?
Some Game allow it (EvE), and mostly others games, just don’t allow it at all.

If by reading this, you’re wondering : BUT HOW PEOPLE WOULD SCAM IN THIS GAME ? :o.

Well I got the answer with a simple screenshot :

I MUST applaude his idea. That’s a great Idea to name a weapon with a upgrade, and just sell it like it was upgraded.
I know that’s a CBT, all will be wiped, but we got a serious problem here.
Ik now too that, we got some “( …)” to see that, this isn’t the real name of the weapon and not an upgrade.
But for me, it still a problem, I don’t ask a punishment but a way to fix this problem by the following =>

If a weapon got a rename, put it in ANOTHER COLOR. Idk : Red, blue, purple, yellow, black 90% chocolate. Anything you want.
It’ll prevent this scam by 50% for people who didn’t paid attention of the scam occuring.

And, if the color isn’t a good idea, just put away symbols in the name. So people won’t be able to put : + = \ / [ ( ] ) etc etc.

And, my last question will be : Is the scam will be Allowed, or punished by the Staff ?

Well , that’s all.

Have a nice day all,
Best regards.

Well for sure u got a point. But i belive the trade system is actually quite good. I dont think its possible to scam like other games, you accept then check the item or amount and confirm.

That type of scam is easily avoidable if you pay attention.

On the other hand they HAVE TO change item awakening mechanic. Currently for item to be awakened Alchemist has to have it personally. That means that you have to give them your item (-1 potential), they awaken it (-1 potential) and give it back (-1 potential) or they may keep it for themselves and you cannot do anything about it.

There is no way to awaken soulbound (untradable) items unless you are alchemist yourself, there is no way to guarantee safety of your item once you give it to alchemist, it wastes too much potential for very little return (with some exceptions).

The proper implementation would be for alchemist to set up some sort of altar that any of his party members can access, put item, confirm to open portal.

Most game get the scam punishment because of higher level players who scam low level players.
That’s why they punish people who act like that.
Beginners players are the target of most of the scam, and it should be punished anyway.

EvE online don’t care of this, because it’s like the real life, you can scam, lie, insult, anyone you want, at your proper risk of become kill chain by his entire community.

Here it’s different, for me the community is really nice, and it shoul stay with some good peoples to meet/speak, and these sorts of players who try to do this are bad.

But that’s my opinion.

EDIT : I’ll add that, a beginner could be tricked by this thing, even in trading.

People willingly selling their talt for 4,000 silver.
/rage

For you and a player who played more than 20hours, and who saw the enhancement mechanics.
Let’s say that you take some lv. 15 weapon, rename it into +15, and sell it to a beginner player at OBT.
For 10k Silver.
It’ll works, i’m 100% sure, mostly if you’re a pro in scaming. (BAD PIRATE !)
The target is all beginner, I said it.

Hmmmm just my opinion i think it’s the buyer’s fault…
but dont get me wrong i hate fk1ng hate scammers got scammed once in RL and Ragna  …and i still hate the dumb me back then ╬ಠ益ಠ)

But it would be nice if they have some punishment of somesort :relaxed:

that just means that this beginner have learnt a valuable lesson only for 10k silver. I’d say its worth every penny.

If someone is that stupid then they deserve to be scammed.

Yay for rogue economy

People taking advantage of limited knowledge of some, its fraud/scam. but players have to learn the hardway. I know I did…
