I got one card at level 10 and tested out backstab from the front with this card. It took about 7 hits for it to work but when it did I saw the results. I do around 28k times 2 from behind so nearly 60k each backstab from behind. Once I got the wolf card crit increase from the front to work, it only did half of the damage. So 14k times 2 instead of 28k times 2. Is this a bug? or does IMC intend to make this Wolf card useless with backstab so you will be forced to hit from behind like always?
It probably is a problem with Karacha Set bonus not being accounted with Werewolf card.
I thought that at first too, so I tried it without the set and the same thing happened. Backstab will receive a 50% decrease in damage when attacking from the front with the Werewolf card increase.
and what about normal crits? with other skills, sneak hit?

Yeah, Sneak Hit works fine and has a % to crit from the front. It’s just Backstab that loses out on damage. Idk if it is a bug or is this how they wanted it to be.

Werewolf activated frontal backstab 6700
Backstab 12800
It seems backstab has some hidden dmg bonus when hitting from the back and that isn’t being accounted for Werewolf effect.Karacha seems to be actually working(1860ish hit becomes a 6000ish one).
Thanks for testing this too. Yeah, it seems that backstab has a hidden mechanic that does double the damage from behind without anything being mentioned. I find it odd though that the Wolf Card doesn’t register it as a rear attack from the front.
I’ve read somewhere on the forum that the Backstab has a natural modifier (I think it’s 1.5 damage) when attacking from behind, that would explain the damage difference, but it seems that it doesn’t work with Werewolf card.
Are you using karacha combo? Because if you attack with other weapons it will deal the same damage by attacking from the mob back, or werewolf proc in front.
Maybe its related to the karacha combo, it must be from the back.
Check this vídeo, the guy is a hakkapalle with rogue 3, he is not using karacha set and deals the same damage in both situations:
He’s using Karacha, the strange thing is that werewolf seems to work on this case, his frontal backstab did the correct damage.
Maybe Storm Bolt debuff makes all atacks count as back making werewolf entirely useless?
