Werewolf Builds?!

@mrshadowccg Yes of course, sarcasm is the way.

My main point was to hold off on thinking too far ahead on something based on just animated gifs and some short descriptions. That’s all you guys are really basing this of off and you can’t tell me otherwise. Nothing is set in stone (not yet) and IMC can just as easily decide to remove the entire “Werewolf” ability should they want to (they have a disclaimer on each of these previews).

Some impressionable people will “follow” builds based off of these information and I just wanted to remind them that this game has a sort-of “perma-circle/stat” system in place. They will be gimped if none of these come to fruition.

I have written in my first post that we only have a grasp of how the skills will work. I am not sure what you’re trying to achieve by stating out the obvious. This is a theorycrafting thread afterall.

You come into a theorycrafting thread and say “hey guys, don’t do this theorycraft stuff, it’s better just waiting”. See the reason for my sarcasm now?

How come you only just respond to my first paragraphs?

Nevertheless, I apologize for raining on your parade. Have a good day.

Because that was a pretty weak argument you pulled out just to try to prove your point. I didn’t think it was necessary replying to it because you know it yourself it was completely nonsense. I’m not labelling this thread as a ‘guide’ or ‘walkthrough’ for werewolf builds. If there are “impressionable” people who come in here and take this as a set in stone guide, well, too bad for them. I can only feel bad for people who believe in every single stuff they read in the internet.

I’ve theorycrafted multiple builds based around Mimic since icbt2. And all I have is a name and a costume. I don’t even have gifs or character-concepts via IMC… and yet I’ve been happy to invest hundreds of hours in a character already specifically for that class.

What skills will Mimic have? Will it be a supportive class or a DPS? Will the class have any control over other player/monster skills as the name implies or is it just a name and the skills are completely unrelated?

It doesn’t matter tbh. I want to play a Mimic. I don’t care if they are the worst class in the game… I just want to lol

There are people who, after seeing a Werewolf, probably think also to themselves that “idgaf about anything else right now, I want to be a Werewolf” and so… the planning. Will it be matk based? Will it be patk based? How many skills will it have? Can you cast other skills during lycanthropy? Will it make you predictable in PvP because players will know the moves you have access to? Will it have CC or is it just a spam fest of slashes, gnarls, and bites?

It doesn’t really matter. It’s a Werewolf and people will want to be ready for it as best as they can. People like me even find it fun to plan and theorycraft their builds ahead of time, even if every prediction turns out to be wrong lol

It could come out next week or IMC could drag their feet and give players until December to get a new character to 280 in anticipation of R8 lol

So… when your R8 class comes out, the one you’re interested in, will you have a character ready to receive it? We have stat reset potions so the only concern would be circles. Transform/Shapeshift gives us insight into how lycanthropy may perform, so planning around a possible patk based skill with a block on your casting for the duration isn’t such a far fetch.

Tbh I don’t care about the circle or the skill lol But I offered my suggestion from calculated predictions. I don’t see anything wrong with people trying that build or others, even if it is just inspired by a brief description of the skill and a few animations =P It doesn’t even matter if it’s good or not… what matters is the player having fun with it. If someone wants to try a patk wolf (even if the skills are matk the aa could be patk!) then, hey, I won’t stop them XD

I apologized to the OP, then left. Please don’t “quote me back”. Thanks

Someone is sensitive today, yeah?

I didn’t “quote you back,” and, in fact, I didn’t quote you anywhere at all.

I have not posted in the thread for 2 days and decided to reply to your post largely because it was immediately following my post… and your following comments suggested that impressionable people may try builds (born of speculation) that are listed in this thread. I was one of those people that listed a theorized build. Your comments were, directly or indirectly, in relation to the content of my post.

You apologized to the OP as you mentioned but you did not apologize to the others that theorized builds within the thread. After all, that is what this thread was created for lol

I, and others, posted in accordance to the topic. You disagreed with the OP but you also disagreed with everyone else who posted here which warrants a reply. If you do not want anything to do with the topic then I suggest you mute it and move on.

Thanks

My bad for using “quote” when I meant “tagged”. I meant my apology and that’s why I left the topic and did not pursue it further. I do not want anything more to do with this. Like I said, I understood I rained on someone else’s parade (my exact words) and I was sorry for that and thus apologized for it. Not being sensitive, I just thought I made it clear that I’m out. :disappointed:

I’m sorry if I came off as sharp or sarcastic… and I won’t click reply on your post here after this one. The internet is a difficult place to find sincerity so I may have assumed you were being insensitive lol

My bad and carry on =)

I thought this topic was about Werewolf Builds and not for a fight
So… I can’t wait to know what is coming the next days! Rank 8 Skills are soon to be revelead :kissing_closed_eyes:

Well hopefully we’ll know the details by day 18 (that’s when rank 8 gets released on kToS).

I’ve also been wondering… Can you be knocked back while transformed (what if it’s a large-sized monster transformation)? Do you suffer hitlocks too? You know, the little animation that stalls you from doing anything when you get hit.

I wonder if the werewolf transformation would give you the effects of a pain barrier buff as well.

Everytime when I’m transformed and walking through the map, if I get hit by any monster (mainly archers and mages) my character just stops walking.
This is VEEERY annoying!!

I really want to make a physical DPS werewolf-Druid, but the problem is we can’t theorycraft anything until we know more about it.

There are a lot of skills that LOOK really good and like something you can base your build around on paper, and then you actually see how they work in the game and there’s absolutely no point trying to build around it.

Werewolf transform could easily be a 30 second duration with a 6 minute cooldown or something. We just don’t know yet.

How the damage and scaling on the transforming will work is critical but hard to speculate on, costly as well. If wrong choices are made before more info it can create a lot of hardship.

It might even be better to go slower on your cleric if it is an alt to not pass a point of no return. Maybe just get it up to dirb3 with int build and wait till concrete info is out.

There is even a statement on the wiki that cleric stat choices are tricky. So it is best the player protects themselves then rely on imc.

Well with the stat reset potion that was given in the mistery delivery event today, I suppose we can afford to reset the stats and buy a skill reset potion in case It’s not what we were expecting :open_mouth:

I mean, Cleric 2 Diev 3 sounds like a good class path on both INT and STR builds (in case werewolf doesn’t depend on STR at all).

You know what would be cool? If Werewolf was a physical attacker, but Lycanthropy got a physical attack bonus from INT. INT/DEX Cleric new meta? They could even make that how it scales, 100/125/150/175/200% INT to Physical Attack so that +skill level bonuses would be really strong.

diev3 druid3 easy

blunt give both physical attack and magical attack

From the gif I think the attack from werewolf is holy property looking at the damage difference between two type of monster so i think it is ‘magical-holy’ for sure

Physical attacks can also have elemental properties. Wugushi damage is poison-physical, second line elemental attack damage from Sacrament or Cafrisun on anyone but wizard is holy-physical.

Thoughts?

Type seems to say: Magical (probably scales with INT then?)

Uses 2% sp per second.

Skill Atk at max level is around 5.5k

Duration 5 minutes, cooldown 65 seconds.
