Tree of Savior Forum

Welp! It's time to move on, have fun guys!

nah, there are attention-seeking QQ posts that people naturally negatively respond to, and there are some like this that would make you think and sometimes even sympathize with the TS.
simply put, there are ways to send the message across effectively.

again good luck TS and friends.

Bullshit. Depending on the killspead of the group and competition you can even end up with more solo.

Many of TOS’s issues are inherently part of its design, and thus are not things that IMC can just simply ā€œfixā€ at the drop of a hat.

There are seriously some awful choices mad here, and it is literally the game’s death knell.

Unfortunately goodbye, but come back when the things become even better.

I’m also pretty much done with the game.

I had convinced my best friend to get into the early access but he quit a few days ago because he got really bored of questing.

I used all of my EXP cards in a desesperate and futile attempt to reach rank 6, fully knowing I didn’t have enough of them but I simply didn’t care anymore. I got stuck at level 172/13.

I’ve done all of the quests I could (I’ll talk more about questing later on), explored as many maps as possible too but that wasn’t enough to reach level 175 and unlock the newest dungeon. So I’m stuck doing the following: doing my daily missions and quests (the level 160 dungeon isn’t even worth the effort) or killing monsters for the Wings of Vibora’s cards which are painfully hard to obtain because of the absurdly long respawn times and the extremely low mob density.

Nonetheless, I religiously did my daily missions runs for the past few days and it hit me how anti-social the community is: you can forget about making a pre-made party with strangers, it’s gonna take you hours if you can even manage to do it. Therefore, I was stuck using the party finder and I must say, people are really rude: I always say hello but most of the time, nobody replies back, it was as if I was playing with bots.

It was also at that moment that I’ve noticed the lack of idle chatter in towns: except for goldspammers, nobody talks in that game or rather they probably do but on discord/TS/mumble/whatever which make cities a pretty sad sight to behold.

I said earlier I was going to talk about quests, I really think this is ToS’ Achilles’ heel: I wanted to make tons of alts (I’m playing a sapper and I wanted to try out the cataphract, alchemist and druid classes) but what’s the point?
The main way to progress in this game doesn’t come from partying and using all the cool spells you get along the way but from mindless questing. And I really don’t want to fetch herbs, sow seeds, put up advertisement boards/scarecrows, harvest crops, fix fences, retrieve wood logs or whatever asinine stuff the game wants me to do for EXP cards.

I really want Tree of Savior to succeed, I’ve been waiting since late 2011 for this game to release after all and the classes system is pretty awesome. Unfortunately, I don’t think they will ever turn what is currently a linear theme park MMO into a open world, sandbox one.

Farewell guys, even if I no longer do, I hope you have fun with the game.

nice work goose, shouldn’t advertise you are selling your account when you have already posted your steam info on the forums…

doesnt matter i have steam mobile authen lol

what ? you dont get it huh, they can now just look up the account connected to that steam and ban it, enjoy…

Im in a middle of leaving the game or keep going. Right now im at 190s with my QS. And my friends are still at level 80-100. We are so hyped about this game since last year, and now my friends slowly being active on the game due to too many errors, lag, FPS drops and millions of quests. I think this game failed to give what ragnarok gave us back then. Im still active in this game hoping for a miracle happens

Im sad to say TOS is more like a facebook game to me now.

Good luck on your new journey TS

and why would i be ban? i paid for this game and i have the right to choose whatever i want lol is that a crime? besides game sucks’ anyway.

Ahh you realize you dont own anything right, when you buy a game you purchase a right to play the game according to a terms of service, all intellectual property including your account belongs to IMC. If you read the TOS its clearly says you can and will be banned from selling any game related content for real life money.

Congrats let me give you a cookie.

You should probably keep it for yourself since you just learned something, enjoy.

Groups get a large bonus to exp: each member gets 45% of the exp from a monster, but due to having 4-5 times the damage is capable of killing monsters that many times faster.

As a result groups will get exp roughly twice as fast as a solo player.

Outside of Prison 2F there isnt a single location where this holds true.
This is because unfortunately only elites give any noticable sort of experience, and you simply kill them much, much faster in a party.

Personally, I really miss some of the features of the original RO. Like shared exp with any level, the level of monsters not affecting exp ratios, etc. I’m not sure if those things would work in Tree of Savior, but it would be nice if it was more forgiving than what it is like now. They need to understand that not everyone progresses at the same pace, but that most people would still like to be able to play with their friends who are below them or ahead of them.

I respect you OP,because you took the time to calmly point out the issues of your group and what happened from beginning of the launch to now.I actually agree with all of them except the last one [I think the current system prevents a bunch of valueless guilds from being made that will eventually just sit there and rot in a huge list of choices],but that’s just me.

That being said,I’m sorry the game wasn’t what you were expecting.I think all of us feel that way to some extent, mostly in that we were hoping the game would be more finished before getting to this point.

I hope in the future you’ll visit us again and see that it’s progressed to a point you can actually be excited to get back into the game.

No matter what group you build you end up with less xp than 100% (solo kill).

Those huge 400%, 600% etc are still divided. You’re not suddenly getting 4 times the xp.

The only way to get more xp via group is increased killspeed, which you will only have if the group is strong and little competition. Otherwise you are better off soloing it as e.g. cookie-mage.

Killing speed is also a big factor here. A solo player can’t simply aoe and kill half a dozen elites in seconds.

You cannot say that as tho it’s hard to find 3 or 4 others that do comparable dps (or much higher, if better aoe).

Partying is simply much better (faster) then soloing in 200/220 plus. That’s not an argument, but a simple fact.

I see plenty of truffle groups run up and down fighting for one pack every minute each. I don’t need a group to achieve that. This is also a simple fact. There aren’t enough mobs for everyone

I am waiting for maplestory 2 too. Have quit ToS several days ago.
