Welp, after dumping a substantial amount of money into this game I have now come to realization that it is not worth it to do so any longer. ToS was fun, competition was somewhat present, and the people are awesome. I may be back in 6-12 months from now in hopes that ToS will improve with time.
My reasons for staying as long as I have are simple. The community truly is great, the people are fantastic.
My reasons for leaving are, well, a bit more negative.
I just can’t play a game in 2016 with 20 FPS. Mind you, I own a $400.00 GPU, and the best i5 processor in the market atm. I refuse to switch things out for single cored bullsht in order to play ToS. It’s insane. 2000 Runescape = 50 FPS while in 2016 ToS = 1.89 - 20.33 FPS (Before FPS Patch it was 1.69 - 19.33. HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!!)
Content is absolute garbage. Admittedly, I’ve felt this way since about 1 month after the official release. I just stuck it out and kept going because I wanted to succeed in PvP/GvG. However, with both PvP and GvG broken(PvP Rankings still broken from 3 months ago) my passion to be a top tier player in ToS has died out. Thus, I refuse to complete a single more trash, insane, and repetitive quest.
Grinding was no problem for me, except… I constantly found myself having to spend 2-5 hours creating a party. Therefore, grinding is actually trash in this game as well. Paradox.
Anywho, I hope you guys think about where ToS is at its current state. To me, it seems the heart of ToS is all that remains(the 700 people playing on Klaipeida). If you haven’t left now, you won’t be leaving for a while. Keep on keeping on!
