Weekly Siege War (PvP)

I am not sure if i am allowed to mention WoE here, but as ToS is from the original devs of RO, i would really love to see something like WoE in ToS, it’s fun and really addicting and makes Guilds + alliances really meaningfull!

For those who do not know what i am talking about: WoE basically is exactly mentioned weekly Siege System from the game RO.

Basically guilds can attack and conquer or defend a Castle of their own, (there are various castles available in different zones.

If a guild successfully conquers / defends a castle until the time for the siege runs out (approx. 2-3 hours) they get to keep it, at the very least until the next castle siege times (2x per week)

Advanatges of having a castle could also be similar to RO imo, as it’s a nice concept - you and your guild will have access to that castle regions specific Castle Dungeon, with monsters that only appear within. Other features could be:

(from hereonout this has not to be part of RO, since this is ToS and i really want a similar system not a copy)

  • You can invest ingame money into the castle, to build out defenses, likes guards and traps

  • The castle has a treasure box which can only be openend by the guild leader, the “loot” would be guild specific items and or buffs for all members, from fashion items to convenience, or maybe selected (normally only) cash shop items (if ToS will choose that method)

  • Also Guilds should be able to form alliances with other guilds, so when in an active Castle Siege, those guilds can help eachother out without hurting eachother in battle

  • Every 2 weeks an incredibly strong NpC army (monsters whatever) should focus attack the strongest Guilds / Alliances castles, to give smaller guilds / alliances some air to breathe and a chance to also take a castle of their own,

also the larger Guilds / alliances would need to wager if they really want to try and defend let’s say 3 castles they “own” at the risk of loosing all of them, or if they should focus their efforts on defending their most valuable(s) when witty smaller alliance time their attacks with the NpC armys onslaught etc. things just might turn out completely different this week!

So something around that lines, i would love that and i hope you would too and that you can see and understand what i am excited about here, i really want to see something like that in ToS <3

Like don’t go for an exact copy of this ?

Of course they will add pvp and gvg, i’m pretty sure they won’t let down the pvp community.
But don’t bring back this crappy system /o/

Here comes the RO hate again i have said it a hundred times relax is just a example hes using to explain what he wants he even says.

@otakupvp Guild v Guild systems have been discussed by the community a lot their seems to be a lot of interest in this form of pvp if you do a search on the forums im sure you could find some of the threads not sure how old they are though.

Maybe some sort of “capture the flag” where you would have bases on opposite sides of the map. Guilds would buy different layouts of bases with ingame money and possibly upgrade them, so when the CTF starts map would be generated with each guild’s base layout on one side of the map (devs would need to create mirror image of each layouts). Different base layouts would have different approach points (and different number of them) and secret enterances. Maybe some map objectives like destroyable gates or leavers that open gates. Also, more then one flag so it doesn’t become rushy and random.

I’m not hating Ro (gravity on the other hand :p) I spent years on this game, a freaking long time. And i loved it, I will never forget all the good times this game gave me. But i’m not blinded by love, this game had heavy flaws, some game mechanics were just really crappy or completely imbalanced.

I had the chance to get on the iCBT, and i loved every second of it. While it felt like playing Ro again, the game is entirely different and it’s a good thing.

Here I was just stating that it’s obvious we’ll get pvp/gvg like in pretty much every MMO ever. But looking at Ro for inspiration seems wrong to me ^^

In my opinion WoE was one of the best PvP options in iRO. While I understand this is not the same game, I would love for them to implement a large GvG type event such as this. Also, the sprites and classes alone in this game should show you already that some inspiration already came from iRO. This will be my first iCBT for this game so I haven’t got much other then that I can say but I came to this game because I was hoping for them to bring back a game with some of the spirit of a wonderful game I put plenty of time into when I was younger. I also want a different game so lets hope for some new features that will keep us all coming back for more!
