Weapon Choice on Re:Build

I think my build on Re:Build will be Ele -> RC -> Shadow, It’s better to me use a Staff to increase overall damage or use Rods + Shield to get -50% Cast Rate and pDef from the Shield?

Basically, if I get a 380 Primus Rod +16 with trans 10, it will give 8700 Matk instead of 10100 using a Staff. A 380 Primus Shield with the same refine and trans will have 10000 pDef.

I’m still wondering if I’ll pick Elementalist or Taoist or even Warlock (Mastema + RoJ)… At least we’ll have resets to test it.

What will be better based on my thoughts?

I’m still wondering the same…

However, seeing as how skills now have lower multipliers, I’ll tend to say go with a staff for more damage, monsters in re:build have been nerfed accordingly, so having less pdef without a shield shouldn’t matter much. If you can put a hand on a Velco staff, the difference is even bigger compared to a 380 primus.

Now there’s still the concern about that 50% less casting time… This is a ridiculous feature to put on rods vs staves.
